Food extremely clean and Authentic. I ordered the campechanos and azada and can’t explain how good they were and nostalgic reminding me the street tacos in Mexico! Definitely coming back!

My husband and I lived in Mexico for several years, and after moving to Fredericksburg, we had been missing REAL Mexican street tacos. When we heard about Taquería Machetes, we had to try it out. We were so impressed with our whole experience! The staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was very clean, and the food made us feel like we were right back in Mexico! We ordered the tacos al pastor and the tacos olla, both of which were delicious. There were multiple different types of salsas to choose from at the salsa bar, plus cilantro and onions, of course. We can’t wait to come back for some more authentic tacos, and to introduce our friends and family to a taste of Mexico, right here in FBG!

The best tacos!!! Their blackberry spicy margarita is also an amazing way to beat this heat. 10/10 highly recommend. Start your day at the wineries and end it with some amazing tacos

Excellent, speedy service. Multiple salsas to choose from. (All great) got street tacos this visit and they were absolutely excellent. Highly recommend. Great jalapeno and house margarita too!!

We’ve been waiting for a good taco spot in Fredericksburg and these guys have made it happen! As soon as we walked in they were welcoming and helped us navigate the menu. We got an assortment of breakfast tacos to try and they were all good and had lots of filling. The salsa/hot sauce bar was a great bonus! Looking forward to going back for some street tacos!

Let’s talk Machetes… I’m a local, so believe me when I say this is the best restaurant in Fredericksburg. A lot of the other restaurants have gotten lazy and have such a high turn around that they are serving junk and don’t care anymore. I’ve ordered the burrito twice and it’s just amazing. Seasoned steak and homemade tortillas absolutely perfect…. So far so good…. My sons a picky eater, but even he tore into those street tacos…. Stop in and I’m sure you’ll walk away feeling the same…. Hats off!
