This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants that I frequent and always recommend to friends visiting Davis. Probably one of two places with the best salsa that is genuinely spicy that satisfyingly burns my taste buds in a good way. Their tacos are authentic street tacos along with majority of the meals they serve. Menudo is only served on the weekends, but definitely worth the wait especially on a cold rainy winter Sunday.

Food was delicious, it was very busy, line of about 6 people, but we were able to get seated and served fairly quickly. I had the chili verde enchiladas and they were excellent. Every one else in our group enjoyed their food as well

Food was trash. I ordered a combination with beef soft taco and Chile relleno. I also ordered mole with chicken, their Monday daily special. Mole was definitely not mole. Sauce tasted like cooked Pico de Gallo and was thickened with flour. Black beans were straight out of a can. Rice was the only part of this plate meal that was decent. Yes, just decent.

No-frills Mexican taqueria. Excellent tacos (the lengua was out of this world), they serve quite unusual meats. Every taco that we ordered was very good. Everything seems to be quite authentic. The service is quick and friendly (you order at the counter and get an order number). Nice sitting area outside under the trees. I didn’t care much for micheladas though. Definitely worth a try..

Place was pretty good every time that I came here. Consistency is there. Decent prices and service. Nachos were always good. It isn’t the best place in the area but that is mainly because it is a competitive place to run a mexican restaurant. In the midwest or the east coast south of New Jersey this would be a really great spot.
