I take no pleasure in writing this review. I’ve only had Taqueria Emanuel from the food truck at Circa, and I’ve thought the food was delicious. Today I found a cockroach in the bottom of the cup of street corn I’d ordered. I’d already eaten the rest of my food. When shown the cockroach, the food truck employee offered us a replacement. Again, I take no pleasure in writing this review and hope no one else has an experience even remotely similar to this.

Still one of the best taco spots in Tampa! Authentic flavors and great service always. Tacos are always a little spicy, even before the sauce, which I love! If you want extra sauce, make sure to call instead of just putting order notes online (I’ve never gotten the extra sauce I’ve requested when I order through Uber with notes). If you haven’t been here, you have to check it out!

I was craving tacos like the ones I’ve had off the beaches of Mexico and this place did not disappoint. Incredibly authentic and flavorful. Bonus points for the most delicious Esquites that I’ve had in Tampa. Will 100% be back.

My girlfriend and I were visiting from Houston, Texas and wanted a good Mexican place that would deliver to our hotel via Uber eats. We made a large order and and unfortunately part of the order was incorrect. My girlfriend ended up taking an Uber to the taqueria to exchange the tacos for the correct ones. They were very polite and exchanged the tacos with no issues. It was frustrating receiving the wrong order in the first place and then paying for an Uber back and forth, but at least they handled it well. That being said, we thought the food was pretty good. The steak sopes and steak tacos were delicious. I also recommend ordering the corn (street corn/elote) and putting some on your tacos. The corn was sooooo good as a topping! The chips were REALLY thick and were honestly hard to chew. We weren’t fans on the green salsa, the flavor didn’t vibe with us. The red salsa had good flavor with a soupy consistency. Overall, this was a pretty good taqueria. I just wish we didn’t have to experience it through Uber.
