We went through the drive though because it was busy inside. We ordered 2 chalupa plates, one with picadillo, one with chicken fajita, and 1 enchilada plate. We asked for cheese on all plates, avocado on all plates, and limes, extra limes on the side, and extra salsa on the side.

I really wanted to like this place. It’s super greasy. After finding my food I had to poop. So I am not happy. My husband found an avocado sticker in his enchiladas. And he found the stem of the tomato. We will not be coming back. Sorry we tried it and I can’t have diarrhea again and risk more stuff in our food that shouldn’t be there.

Newly renovated the entire restaurant. New layout was much easier to navigate. Tables are stable. Food was same great food as it was. After being closed for several months, I’m excited to have another food option in town.

I love the new/ re opening of this restaurant! Getting there right at 6am for breakfast is what I suggest. Currently, at the time of this review, the inside dining is operating with “soft open” hours 6-3. Even with the breakfast crowd coming in around 6:30am, the service is still wonderful. The food is good and I’d say if you typically get 2 tacos, get 1 here. Thanks for what you bring to Hondo!

Ordered breakfast tacos and they were so stuffed with food it was falling out both ends. Bacon & egg, sausage & cheese, it was delicious. I didn’t take any pictures of the food I forgot and just started to devour them…so tasty. The staff was also very friendly.

This was my first time trying El Rodeo and I was impressed. My cousin in Utopia has told me about it for years but I’ve never jumped in.

The food was good. Service was ok, we kept having to ask for our drinks, chips and salsa and the check. The music was extremely loud. When someone pays the price they charge for a meal, you expect a decent atmosphere. If I wanted to hear loud music I would go to a club.

This place was such a pleasant surprise! The food portions are not just big but they’re delicious! Good quality chicken and salsa. The salsa isn’t too spicy but has enough chile to taste great. The rice was good. Our chicken fajita nachos came with a side of pico de gallo and guacamole. My husband and I shared this one entree and we were so full! The waitress was nice and very attentive to us. As soon as you come in you can seat yourself anywhere you like and we were greeted with that message as soon as we walked in. I am coming back for sure!

I’ve lived all over Texas, and they make the best tacos I’ve ever had hands down – especially their breakfast. Their portion sizes are big and their pricing are also very fair. Lastly, their service is amazing and the staff is very polite, knowledgeable and attentive whether you use the drive thru, or decide to dine in. Cannot recommend tacqueria el rodeo jalisco enough. Please stop by if you ever get the chance, you will not regret it!
