Food is okay. Generous portions and moderate pricing. Ordered a chicken burrito and was pleasantly pleased, almost no grease. Well seasoned chicken, somewhat dry rice, not to wet whole beans and a very mild salsa.

The service was fine, the food was poorly cooked, and the portions seem to target a family of 26. Though… the place doesn’t advertise itself as a 2-Star Michelin Restaurant either.

I ordered some meaty fries for pick up and they were great. However, when I got home the bag was soaked in grease. When I opened the plate I realized they used the take out plates upside down, which may be the reason all the grease spilled in the bag. I wish they would’ve drowned the fries or meat more so the grease wouldn’t be a problem.

This place used to have free chips and Salsa. Now it has random plants. How the hell am I supposed to eat these plants with my burrito and tacos?! Put the salsa bar and chips back and I’ll make this a 5 star review.

NOTE: A few other patrons have reviewed that the prices are unlisted and the online prices listed on Google don’t quite match up. So I was SHOCKED after ordering my Caldo de Res with a total of $24.13 after taxes. So this is what eating out in Redwood City is about?

Great food but lousy, horrible customer service. Almost all of the employees there always look so bothered or extremely annoyed. I come to the window and I don’t get service unless I yell at them. They got my order wrong twice and when they did it right, they gave me half the portion of my food. I didn’t have the energy to complain so I’ll post right here so everyone has a heads up about this place.

I’ve lived in RWC for 30+ years. I’ve eaten at El Greasy hundreds of times. The lengua super burrito I had here this week was awful. It was cold, all beans and rice with just few pieces of meat. Hopefully, this was just a bad day with a stingy cook. But if I get another bad meal here then I am done. For $14 I feel ripped off. Hopefull a manager will read this review and have a talk with the staff.
