Flavor and quality are definitely there! I always get the adobada tacos or campechana fries when I visit. They never disappoint. Definitely one of the best taco shops in Imperial Beach.

Best Mexican food in all San Diego. I’ve been here 36 years near San ysidro and there is truly nothing better. Try it once and you will be hooked. The service is amazing; you’re greeted when you walk in and are asked what condiments you would like before you get your order. The cashier gets you all your condiments while the cook is able to focus on your amazing food. You can see your food being worked on through glass and see how experienced and efficient these cooks are. This establishment is a blessing to our community.

Tasty food and made fresh to order. It’s an upscale taco place and the prices are about right. One oddity is that when you walk in, the menu is on the right, over the chef’s cook area but you have to step to the left to actually order your food. We also had some churros and they weren’t as good as the ones in line at the border crossing. Go figure.

I recommend this place if you’re in the area and don’t want to pay $5+ for a taco. The adobada and birria tacos are our faves. I DO NOT recommend the carne asada. I ordered the carne asada fries and every. single. bite was a burnt chunk of fat. I had to throw them away. Hence the 3 stars.

Stopped by after the Mar vista homecoming game , my husband and I had ordered the Mula Birria , keto Taco, Lengua Taco, Asada Taco, carnitas Taco, el pastor taco, cabeza taco and vampire pollo (when it’s our first time we like to order a couple of different items and sample everything to get a good understanding of the restaurant & of course to see if it’s worth it to come back.) The food was so delicious we even ordered a lengua taco to go and mula birria to take home. Would definitely come back , our Jamaica wasn’t overly sweet and we loved that , usually whenever we order Jamaica is literally is as sweet at fruit punch, but this one was spot on and I could really taste the hibiscus in it ! Place is pretty spacious, seats are comfortable. Our cashier was Veronica and she was great . Hats off to the cooks though… delicious food !

Adobada trompo here! Could char it a bit more, though. And more seasoning on Carne asada and red salsa too, not just habanero. Otherwise, it’s a good place, especially with a side of cebollitas and chilitos asados you can’t go wrong.
