Such good food. Go out of your comfort zone and get a huarache. Served open faced, with seasoned masa as a base. Topped with your favorite meat (today was al pastor) with beans, nopales (cactus) lettuce, cotija cheese and crema. Sides of grilled onions, jalapeño, radiches, and limes. You won’t leave hungry and can’t go wrong for $10! They now accept credit card and Google pay.

Yesterday, I went to order a Birria Mexican Pizza.

Came here to try the Tacos for the visit Stockton taco trail! I was impressed with the crispy taco shells. I had the taco pastor and I didn’t disappoint! They had great flavor and a little heat with the added taco sauce on top! Yum

Greates birria tacos ever. Both the quesotacos and regular tacos are great. They give you a side of consome which compliments the tacos really well. I will definitely come back to this taqueria. It is conveniently housed inside of the Peñas Mexican Supermarket which also has a good meat market.

Drove 50 min to try these taco birria my cousin told me about. It’s sure the cheapest but the consumee isn’t as flavorful from another place I been to. Overall it was tasty and cheapest I know for now.

My new favorite place for authentic Mexican food in Stockton hands down. Loved the Quesatacos and how they are made fresh to order with cheese that stretches out when you take that first bite The portions are great as I found myself getting full off of 2 and my personal favorite choice of meat is the al pastor here because I find it more flavorful than the asada. But no matter what meat you choose, make sure to ask for the sopa which they give for free if you order 3 tacos because dipping your tacos in the sopa is a game changer. The shell soaks up the flavor of the sopa and makes the meat even more moist, delicious and balances out the saltiness of the Quesataco. I also tried the mulita de birria but I don’t think I’m a big fan of gamey meats. It was still pretty good, however and came in a big portion! Before you decide to come here, make sure to carry enough cash because this place and the store that it is inside of are both cash only (although there is an atm at the liquor store to the left of the store). Besides that come here hungry and you won’t regret it!

The young lady taking our order was kind and polite. It didn’t take long for the order to come up. The food was fresh and delicious. I kept seeing the birria on IG and had to try it for myself… OMG good. The quesobirria Congress with it’s own dipping sauce. It was delicious and I’ll be back to get another some day. The Nortena torta was also full of flavor, my daughter can’t eat spicy foods and took all the extras off. It was a huge sandwich with fresh avocado, milanesa, tomatoes and lettuce. I recommend this place…

Please note this place is located inside Peñas Supermercado. Cashier was really nice and helpful, food is probably best taken to go since it’s a little small in there. The tacos I got were DELICIOUS. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their food!!
