A friend and I came for lunch. This was our first time coming since new ownership, renovations, and changes to the menu. I can honestly say the changes made were made in a positive way. All the way from the environment to the customer care ( shout out to our servers Taylor and Rowan who took such good care of us-and the manager Chris that seems to have everything in order) . And the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the homemade guacamole and tuna tartar for our appetizers. Everything was super fresh. We both ordered the shrimp fajitas and Mahi tacos and we both were very happy with what we received. Definitely will be back!!

Another outstanding meal at Taqueria Del Mar! The bang bang shrimp and brisket enchiladas are amazing.Fausto and his staff gave us top notch service! Great food and drinks at a reasonable price.

Walking distance to our house and we’re here multiple times a month. Food is great…enchiladas and the specialty tacos are spectacular! Every staff member we’ve encountered is so sweet and management is always there making sure everything is okay! They’re updating the decor, top, and it looks beautiful!

We came in once before and I didn’t like it. I moved from Colorado so the smothered burritos are different. We can here after shopping at Ingles. I had the special fish tacos and really liked them. My husband had the chicken burrito Tamarindo and he would say great. I think prices have gone up drastically. Prices are under $20 but not by much average $16 to $18

UPDATE: Taqueria Del Mar had it going on last night! Live music, some complimentary Coco Loco shooters, and lots of frozen margaritas cause it was HOT outside but sooo cool inside. Food was awesome! I had the Three Amigos enchilada house special and it was D-LISH!

Texas margaritas were ok but my tacos needed more flavor. I found myself adding salt and pepper to all of my tacos. They do have $2 taco Tuesday. However, you can only get beef and fish tacos on the special. They do have a few other tacos on the menu that looked good so I wouldn’t mind going back to try those. Our waitress was very nice and attentive – I regret I don’t remember her name.

Great local Taqueria! I stopped by during my recent work trip and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere! The restaurant is open and vibrant with good music and a great selection of food and drinks. I had the pomegranate frozen margarita which was refreshing and def got hooked up by the bartender. I also had their Queso with jalapeños and some chips and salsa to start. Both were fresh and packed with flavor. I decided to go with the SxSW chicken platter for my meal. Talk about awesome! I got two large grilled chicken breasts topped with chimichurri. It was so tasty! The staff recommended the kale as a side and it was def the right choice. It was juicy and spicy and went really well with every bite of chicken. I was also having a moment and went for their bang bang shrimp taco. What can I say?! Bang bang! I was getting ready for the bill when I was advised to try the Oreo churros. ENOUGH SAID! You wanna talk about awesome? Def hit the sweet tooth craving and man was it delicious. I’m going to try to take my family next time I’m in town. They had tons of options and even a chalkboard in the corner for the kids to right on and play. A sweet family-owned restaurant tucked in Peachtree corners.

Today, we returned to Taqueria Del Mar for the first time in a few years. We knew it had exchanged hands but were hopeful as it has always been a very good and consistent restaurant. How wrong were we. They were setting up photos of food and drinks with what can only be assumed were 8 managers or owners and some family members. We changed tables as the first was dirty. Our waiter was a young man who sadly did not see the importance of customer service at all but understood how to blame the customer. When our food arrived, mine was cold even though it had just been brought out, but the most comical and shocking part was my son quesadilla. Apparently, if we wanted cheese to be in it, we were told we should have ordered cheese as an ingredient. When I chuckled and questioned this. I was met with a look that I was both stupid and rude, and I was reminded we didn’t order the quesadilla with cheese. So, a $13 quesadilla does not come with cheese and is also made with a 4-inch taco tortilla. It was just ridiculous. Cheese is literally in the name!

This used to be my go-to favorite spot, and went out of my way to keep coming thru Covid… but the last 5 times I’ve been there this year, it’s been awful. Service is poor, food never seems to come out correct, and overall the atmosphere has been nothing like before (usually empty). Went in tonight (Friday at 845p) and was turned away as they were closing at 9 – even though their hours are until 930? Anyways, it’s sad but I won’t try anymore.
