Amazing food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. We started the evening with a drink on the rooftop bar. A quick elevator ride straight down to this cozy restaurant. The quality and presentation was top notch! For a starter we shared a very generous portion of roasted brussel sprouts. I had the salmon and parmesan risotto and the rest of my party had the trout. Highly recommend this local gem.

Incredible food. Even more incredible service. Can’t say enough! Our server was truly special and warm while the food was utterly delicious. Best food we have had while in Farmville! Reasonably priced for the scale of service as well.

The food was excellent! The service was just so-so. One of the women serving us didn’t exude any warmth. I asked her for a straw for my ice tea. Never got it. I went to the bar and got it myself. The noise level was horrendous.

A couple nights ago we had an amazing dinner here at Taproot Tavern in Farmville VA. We were very impressed with the excellent service and high quality cuisine. When I think of fine dining in Farmville, this restaurant now comes to mind. We had an excellent Brussels sprouts appetizer, and I ordered a wonderful lemon herb chicken entree. I would highly recommend coming here for a special occasion!

Taproot is wonderful! With fantastic food, great wait staff, and a calming/clubbish atmosphere, it’s a win all the way around. I love this place.

Excellent food (filet mignon dinner and herb salmon dinner) (small wedge salad and tomato soup were tasty and the in-house made cheesecake was huge and amazing!), excellent service and welcoming atmosphere. Our server, Sarah, was outstanding and so knowledgeable about the area to help us enjoy our visit. We met wonderful people/new friends and will be returning to enjoy another meal before our trip ends!
