I had no idea that Adalberto’s had been taken over. It was hard to tell anything was different until I had driven up to the order window. I ordered a couple of chicken street tacos. Asked for horchata but they were sold out so settled on a jamaica instead. The tacos were very filling and stuffed with a lot of meat. Could have used a little more toppings like cabbage to offset the meat but all in all a good meal.

I took a chance on this place today, and I’m glad I did. The food was too good to stop and take a picture! I order two street tacos, one Carne Asada and the other Carnitas. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! Also the tacos are huge! The Carne Asada was my favorite, you can’t get meat like that anywhere in Sacramento. It’s thick, juicy, and grilled to perfection! The guacamole they put on top just brings the whole taco together! This place just became my favorite taco spot! I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. This is definitely authentic Mexican food, and the service is amazing.

Yummy!!! We enjoyed buying a variety of tacos! Homemade tortillas! So glad Adalberto’s is gone. Carne asada is real cut from flanks, chicken diced, moist and flavorful. Birria, carne asada, carnitas and chicken are all tasty! Green and red salsa were very flavorful. Picture of the nice portioned taco.

Ok, I don’t usually write reviews but this was such a disappointing burrito experience I have to say something. We didn’t notice the signage for Aldalberto’s was gone until we’d pulled through the drive thru and placed our order. For a little over $11, the chicken burrito we received was absolutely awful. I certainly expected better quality, seeing as I can get a cheaper and/or larger burrito just across the street at chipotle or jimboys! The flavor? Terrible. The chicken was dry, nearly burnt, and the flavor was just chicken and… cilantro? Maybe the other reviewers here came on a better day, or were incentivized to offer their “honest” reviews. Or maybe they’ve never consumed anything better before? Yikes! Indulge your tastebuds and go somewhere else. We won’t be back, sorry TJ’s.

We just tried this place for the first time today and omg, they are soooo good. We’re from the bay area so we are spoiled by good, fresh, authentic mexican food and this is honestly the first time since we’ve moved here tasting fresh, authentic flavors again. We had asada and carnitas and the meats were extremely flavorful and tender. My only request would be to get some really hot salsa for those customers that like heat :D.

Very lackluster food for $40. Carne asada fries had no cheese and fajitas were flavorless.

If you haven’t been here yet then GET UP AND GO! It’s become one of my husband and I’s new taco spot. He gets the street tacos and I get the birria tacos and OMG they are soooo good! The homemade tortillas and how it’s all cooked/prepared plus the customer service is on point! We ended up getting extra tacos to go for some friends and after eating they said they will definitely be going there themselves in the near future. You’ll be happy with Tj Tacos for sure!

Didn’t know the Aldalberto’s was changed to this, the menu was very similar so I expected a similar taste but was majorly disappointed. I ordered the breakfast burrito that usually comes with salsas and actual flavor but I got a tortilla with only eggs and cheese. Even with the salsa on the side added it was underwhelming, I don’t expect an amazing meal at this price but there should still be flavor. Worse than white people mexican food
