I think this is a pretty good place. The wings were just amazing. You seat yourself, and I’m not sure but I think the staff doesn’t clean tables they just make drinks and serve food. I’m not super complaining because it’s a small staff and it is literally the only place to get good food, at least during the week.

We arrived at our place (Alpine Villages and Cottam’s Lodge) around 5 and unpacked the car to rush down and get our order in before they closed at 7PM. We ordered 2 pizzas (Sausage Tapenade and 38 Special) along with an IPA and headed out to the patio to enjoy the smooth sounds of the creek running by. It is a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a cold beverage and dinner. The pizzas were Detroit thick crusts that were filling and perfectly made.

When this place first opened in Taos it was excellent. It has slowly gone downhill since then. My most recent experience here was disappointing. Ordered my burger med rare and it arrived cold and well done. Fries arrived cold and tasted like the fry oil had not been changed for quite some time. I give it two stars for the beer.

Wow, what a fantastic spot to have some drinks or a bite to eat in the Taos Village. The pub food is excellent, the views of the river outside are amazing, and the people who work at this establishment are the best! This little pub is located directly across from the Blake hotel and was our go to place all week long, I couldn’t recommend the Taos Ale House highly enough!

Stopped by for dinner and beers after skiing. Nice looking place and service was friendly and responsive. The tap beers, both the IPA and Pilsner, were good. We had the 38 Special pizza which was good but not really a Detroit pizza. It had some similarity but not too close(My wife and I lived in Detroit for ten years and ate many Buddy’s pizzas so we know what a Detroit pizza is and are a bit picky on this topic). We would go back again-it was an enjoyable time.

We ate here a couple times on our trip to TSV, take out and eating in. This pizza is weird, but man it is GOOD. Thick bread like crust. Sauce on top of cheese blew my mind but I’m into it. Almost like focaccia with goodies on top. Truffle fries were also baller. Got a couple impossible burgers and they were great too. Maybe the best place to eat on the mountain! Only downside is they ran out of pizza dough a few times. We would have eaten there more often had they not!

Wings, burgers, and fries were great! Sitting outside on the deck watching and listening to the stream below made it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy an amazing meal. Will be back!

Great pizza. 38 special passes this motor city girl test. My kids like the pepperoni too. Reasonable prices.
