“ticks all the boxes” savory dishes will spoil you – my fave Hopluia IPA on tap – get outta town! – quaff that back with an onion kulcha – lots of tender lamb in my korma – try them all – super modest prices & generous portions – dig in !

In the words of the new teenagers, “ this restaurant slaps!” Every single time I come to this restaurant it is a absolute pleasure the staff are amazingly courteous the food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is contagious. There is no better place to dine in Lincoln than at Tandor ! I’ve been enjoying this restaurant for well over 10 years you can’t go wrong by eating here. Also there are many vegan options and the menu is fully customizable as they seem to cook everyone everything from scratch. This is definitely my favorite Indian cuisine nationwide and I’ve been to some places.

We went here on my daughter’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. The wangchuck chicken was a standout, vindaloo chicken was also excellent. Definitely make sure you get the samosas as an appetizer because they are amazing. I could just have a plate of those for dinner. This will be one of our regular spots from now on.

Chicken tikka what?? Swung through town on travel, we decided to get takeout. Ordered chicken tikka masala and wife got biryani with all kinds of stuff. Someone either has never made CTM before or they ran out of cream , it was essentially chicken with chunky tomato sauce. Zero cream. Very strange. The biryani was more like a stew mixed in with rice. Very confused by what we were served, it was certainly not what you expect at an Indian restaurant. Also an hour wait for takeout, that’s about 15-20 mins longer than one would expect.

Honestly was really disappointed with this place. Ordered Chicken Tikka Madras for takeout, which is supposed to have a tomato base. Dish came out yellow and tasted nothing like madras. Very bland, kinda tasted like I was eating straight coconut milk with minimal spices. Was really looking forward to trying this place for a while and sad it not live up to the hype. Photo of the madras for reference. The rice also isn’t basmati which is definitely strange for an Indian restaurant. Would not recommend one bit and I’m honestly surprised it has the good reviews it does.

The place had a nice atmosphere; not too loud nor too smelly. The menu selections were various and decently priced. The waiters were friendly and not pushy or monotoned. The chicken and lamb were so delicious and incredibly tender! The only thing I wasn’t satisfied about was the portion size. I only wish if the chicken/beef dishes were bigger!

This restaurant has been here forever. Over 20 years ago, we ate here as often as 3 times a week. Today, we love it just as much. Some of the decor and staff have changed, but the food has remained fantastic. There are other Indian restaurants in the area and you can pay significantly more for their food, and likely not going to be anymore satisfied.

Pretty good, but not the most authentic. I’ve been to better Indian restaurants in Lincoln and Omaha, but Tandoor has good service, options, and drinks!

The fried rice was terrible no spice and just rice and eggs. Coke didn’t taste like a coke it was not carbonated. Fried rice tasted so much like Indian style not Chinese style didn’t have soy sauce .
