For sure my favorite hibachi meal in Connecticut, the best I’ve found since I moved here. Sushi is good, everything tastes fresh. Service is always good too, the right balance of checking on you and leaving you alone to enjoy the food.

This is our go-to Sushi place in Wallingford and surrounding area. The sushi is far superior to the two nearby hibachi/sushi places and the couple who run it are so incredibly friendly and nice. We love it and highly recommend it.

The food was excellent we had two different sushi rolls to start and two appetizers as well they were all excellent. For our main course we shared a beef teriyaki which was surprisingly very tender well-prepared and arrived at our table looking awesome.

Honestly the best Japanese food I’ve ever had, so fresh and so yummy ! We ordered a lot of food and I can’t picked which one was my favorite ! The place itself is so nice and clean and everyone is so professional . I’ll definitely go back !

The place is very unassuming, but the quality of food was a pleasant surprise!!! We were there for a small family event, and we ordered quite a lot. Everything was really good the fish was very fresh and the portions were generous. We were the only customers at the time so we had waiter’s undivided attention. The prices were very very reasonable. Will definitely recommend this place for just plain good sushi.

Today, our family tried Tanpopo for the first time. We ordered 3 sushi roll lunch specials with a variety of roll types. Compared to other more expensive local sushi places, the rolls were well-filled with large pieces (where other restaurants’ lunch rolls are usually given disappointingly small pieces,) and the ingredients were fresh. The staff were friendly, and they were upfront about some minor changes to the prices on the menu. We very much look forward to returning soon.

My husband and I seem to like to order out on Monday’s…especially after a busy weekend. We went to our usual spot but found that it decided to start closing on Mondays. We found this place by a Google search. Pictures looked good so we decided to give it a try not to mention we were celebrating our daughter’s acceptance into an agricultural high school program. Small quaint little place with very kind staff. It was BYOB and all we can say is the food was absolutely amazing!! We got some sushi appetizers, miso soup fried rice, fried cheesecake and sashimi. Our 13 year old daughter could not get enough of their salmon sashimi which she’s had a lot but she said this one by far was the best and she couldn’t stop eating it. Please do yourself a favor and stop in. Support this local business it’s really fantastic and we hope to see them thrive!!!!
