We bought their tamales from Rainbow truck at the thanksgiving day parade. It was all good, until my daughter almost choked on some metal piece inside the dough.

The prices got too high for the small selection of tamales considering it’s in the name

I have tried the tamales in many locations through out El Paso. This is as close as it gets to my grandmother’s recipe. It is a hole in the wall type of place, you have stand in line to order and is a cash only business. I have not tried any other items on the menu. I am just rating the tamales.

We ordered tamales and pre-paid. We had the receipt that said it had already been paid for, and the senora that works there decided to charge my dad again. She almost got away with this until my mom called her out on it. Very disgusting customer service to try and get more money from customers.

Hole in the wall place with authentic tamales, like my grandma used to make them (just a little spongy-er). We have tried tamales from many places and think these are as authentic as they get. I gave 4 stars bc I like my tamale masa on the thinner side. They do sell out.

I only knew this place because of their tamales, which are a great size, and always fresh. They usually deliver to the Hilos de Plata Senior Center on Fridays. The restaurant, though, is quaint, and owned by a lovely older couple, who seem to make great business, because people are always stopping in to pick up their orders, chat a bit, and go back to their activities.

I would not recommend this Christian restaurant. A menudo is $7 plus your soda can for a dollar. It was mostly liquid than meat & pozole. Only serves 2 pieces of bread wbutter. Daughter of owner was serving herself, children & husband inside kitchen area. It’s best to eat menudo in another place…

Casual family-owned tamale restaurant- The food is delicious (especially the tamales) and the service is great. They treat you like you’re a part of the family.
