This is my go to breakfast burrito shop since I was a child and the flavor still carries today.

Such mixed feelings about this place. I love their breakfast burritos but anything else on the menu is like a wild card. My experience with the Tacos al Carbon has been so inconsistent, for my order today it didn’t include the guacamole which is part of it. On previous times I received the guacamole but it was watered down and seemed out of date. I order the tacos al carbon once a year thinking ‘maybe this time will be different’ but it isn’t. I’ll just stick with the breakfast burritos, at least those are consistent.

I like their tamales. It’s really the best place to go in the area.

So glad we found this place. I would say the best Mexican food in the area. They are perfectly priced and the food odds really good quality. We got a steak taco (4/5), red tamale (5/5), bean/beef/cheese burrito (5/5), and a bean tostado (5/5… reminded me of my favorite Mexican restaurant back home in AZ). We will definitely make this a weekly stop

The food is really good. I think it has improved over the years. The tamales are very good of course but the beans and rice are really really good and make the bean, rice and cheese burritos outstanding. Their red salsa is surprisingly good and their green chili is also tasty with a nice burn.

FIRST OFF, this place usually has a line in the morning to order but it’s worth it. It’s not a generic Mexican like so many others.

We love Tamale Kitchen. The breakfast burritos smothered in green chile are our mainstay, but dinner options including tamales, steak burritos, and tacos bring us back entirely too often. We typically just do takeout. They have a small dining room but I think of it more as a food truck attached to building.

We’ve been frequenting for years! Took a small break and just ordered tonight. I don’t know if they changed their green chili recipe but it was not good. I got some thin watery incredibly spicy puddle of raw chilis, as opposed to what we normally get in the second photo. Bummed out 🙁
