Tama Sushi is moved from Blue Bird Sushi at Long Beach with the new name as Tama Sushi. We offers the specialty rolls, fresh sushi and sashimi, tasty ramen with 4 flavors non – vegan soup base. We have full vegan option for sushi and ramen also. Our food cooks with separated tempura flours and separated deep fryers. We clean our knife, cutting board and mat every time when we start making a new roll.
We are small family restaurant. Our chef; Tama, is working in a famous japanese restaurant as a sushi chef for more than 19 years experience. He loves to see his customers happiness with his foods. Tasty and quality is the top priority of our restaurant.

Very small, cozy family friendly place. We went in with our family and felt very welcomed to dine in. Most Restaurants don’t even ask if it’s your first time here anymore and they did. We have a young toddler with us, and they went out of their way to entertain our toddler, with conversation, stickers and smiles.

I was so sad to hear that Blue Bird Sushi closed and super excited when they opened back up in HB with Tama Sushi. The flavors are all great and well balanced. My favorite has to be the Fresh Roll, I can eat two of them easy. The takeout service is also really fast and the same portion size as dining in, which is really appreciated.

I went last Saturday and I really liked the service. They have nice seating outside and few tables inside. My friend an I sat inside. I also liked they have vegan options and non vegan. I ordered chicken with rice and also 8ct California Roll. I tried for the first time a Japanese soda and the server offered to open it since I wasn’t very comfortable trying to pop it. As you can see I finished my plate, towards the end I squeezed a bit of the lemon to the rice and it give it a flavorful taste that I enjoyed. For my California Rolls I like it with lots of Sriracha Sauce. Thank you for the service and I will definitely be back!

Came for the vegan sushi and was not disappointed!! Tama and the staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel right at home. I only had a chance to try a few of the rolls, but will definitely be back to try more.

I love that this place has a vegan menu! We’ve been 3 times. 2 were takeout, which were perfectly packaged. Eating there is lovely as the servers are very attentive and hospitable. The rolls are very creative, with lots of vegan substitutions, and the ramen was scrumptious. Sweet little spot!
