This place is so good I was not expecting much because of being in a mall food court. But boy was I wrong better than most Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in STL automatic street tacos. The street tacos were delicious. They did not disappoint. The service also really good the ladies behind the counter were so friendly and helpful when ordering. We will definitely be back.

So I came in to try something new and Takozz did NOT disappoint. I have been craving true, authentic Mexican street food since I lived in Cali more than 20 years ago but it’s hard to find that kind of quality in the Midwest… until now. I had the street tacos and street corn and the only thing that was disappointing was when it was gone. The best tortillas I’ve ever had, hands down. Salsa’s are so fresh. The creamy avacado was the best, imo. Staff was so nice and service was on par. I Plan to eat here every time I visit Fairview heights moving forward!

Food was good, but prepared for a long wait and beware of bones in your shredded beef.

Best taco place in town. I visited most of the Mexican restaurants in the STL area but nothing compares with these delicious tacos. Reminds me the ones back on Texas, a good kick of flavor and heat. I highly recommend it.

Came into the mall to kill some time. Went to the food court and found this gem. Ordered the 3 street tacos with steak. It was fantastic! And the hot sauce was hot enough to sing my lips- nice! The taste transported me back to Old El Paso and the street vendors there. Very filling and reasonably priced. I would recommend trying them.

Tres Takozz! Adobado, Al Pastor, Pollo. Great food, service, and prices! Pretty tasty for Mexican Street Food. I must say that when I went into the food court, I initially preferred Pizza = Sbarro! That would have brought back mall rat memories; however, that was quickly changed based on the reactions and responses I received from the Sbarro employees! When a customer asks: WHAT TIME DO YOU OPEN? Do not answer them by saying: WE ARE NOT OPEN! Duh! Listen to the question! Well, thankfully I found Takozz! Most fortunate. Great job Takozz = Five-star performance especially the way they treat their customers.

Tried this for the first time, honestly it was just ok. I had street tacos, one El Pastor and two shrimp, with a street corn, cup of water. 20$ and I’m still hungry. Seasoning on the meat was pretty bland, and the avocado salsa was the same. They do not offer chips and salsa, first time that’s ever happened to me when getting Hispanic food. They had no control over the atmosphere as it was in the food court.

There we were, standing in the same old boring Panda line a mile long. I look to my left and there I see a new, colorful and exciting restaurant. My son ran over quickly and waved us to Takozz. We wanted to try something new and we’re not disappointed at all!
