Hands down the best Cantonese style BBQ I have been to in the Bay area. We usually come here to get their famous roasted duck, but this time we ordered a medium whole pig for our new year dinner. The pig was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and tender meat inside. This pig can easily feed 20 or more people and we had great compliments from our guests. The pig was $320+tax and you have to order ahead of time instore, but it was worth every penny of it. I highly recommend this place!

My experience at Tai Pan BBQ Express Dim Sum was nothing short of a complete and utter disappointment. The rudeness and arrogance displayed by the customer service staff were absolutely unacceptable, tarnishing what could have been an enjoyable dining experience.

This is a mixed review. Some of their Chinese BBQ is great but other foods not so much. Most of their hot dishes are precooked sitting on a steam table rather than being prepared to order which degrades the quality, particularly fried items such as orange chicken. The steam buns I purchased were a big disappointment as while large in size and priced accordingly, most of the buns were steamed risen dough with around a large teaspoon of filling. Cutting off the dough to around a ¼ inch around the filling cut the size of the bun in half and I was left with a pile of dough equal to a slice of bread. The filling, vegetable and pork, was poorly seasoned. As such I cannot recommend their buns and find frozen ones or the ones at a Chinese BBQ site in the Lyon shopping center in Newark much better. I did like the Chinese BBQ pork and they do have roasted duck and pot stickers that looked ok. Given that they have been in existence and at the same site for many years they must be doing some things right.

Amazing staff, super friendly people!! The meat was super authentic, and fresh. Tasted exactly like Hong Kong food. Was so happy to try this restaurant. The prices are super affordable as well, we loved everything.

Disclaimer: I’ve never been here in person but I’ve ordered food from Tai Pan for delivery and it’s the best and most affordable authentic Chinese food place I’ve personally come across. Highly recommend

The food is amazing and the Ladies know their customers. They know my whole family and but if you don’t get there in time enough they’ll sell out of the dim sum quickly… And guaranteed they make ALOT.

Very good roast port and BBQ pork. Friendly service. Take out only since there’s no seating down available. Great pricings.
