$$$$$ TOO PRICEY NOW…This place has really good birria, we have been going there for a long time. Over the years their prices have been competitive but now they are out of this world. We went there today, and the place that you couldn’t get a table at is now empty, I really think that they are pricing themselves out of business. Due to their prices unfortunately we won’t be visiting this place again. Inflation is a thing but they are ridiculous now. To top it off while we were eating we ask for more tortillas, they brought us five and after a few minutes a gal came to the table and asked us to pay for the tortillas, WHAT!! Almost $5 for for tortillas… after spending $65 dollars for two people.. NEVER AGAIN..

My husband and I ran around Sacramento trying different birria tacos and posted our thoughts on TikTok. We could not stop thinking about how delicious this place was! The tortillas taste like they were freshly made, the flavor was outstanding, I wanted to drink the consome, and we can’t wait to go back! This will be a regular spot of ours and we can’t wait to try other menu items! They were the big winner for the day!

Homemade Tortillas, perfect. Homemade tortillas with a good Birria is always great to have. The Birria was a different from what I normally look for, but it was ok.

$9.99 for a single quesabirria? What? I haven’t even opened the plate but don’t think I’ve ever had a taco that could be worth $10. Ordered 6 because I thought they would be a standard price of maybe $5 each at most. Lady on the phone said, “I don’t know the prices I only take the phone orders.” Train your employees better to avoid any misunderstandings like this.

I love the birria and menudo from La Nueva, I have been a customer since they open there little restaurants feew years back I have order birria from them for my child bautizo, but now it’s been really disappointing coming and order food as the waiting time for a order is and average off 40 to 1hr 30 min. We are considering not to come no more because the waiting time, before you could order over the phone and pick up save time now you can’t even do that as they get to many order in person and they only take one customer at the time!! Please do something to the waiting time and get that phone order back!.
