Do not be deceived by the shabby look of the restaurant: the food is VERY good. I tried them for the first time and got some tacos Al Pastor, which BTW, are $1.50 on Thursdays instead of $2.50 every other day, and they were some of the best tacos Al Pastor I’ve had in Denver. On top of that, their breakfast combo is not only really tasty, but a very good price. The staff is also super nice, so overall, highly recommend

I work nearby and have tried a lot of different places but this spot has far and away become my go to place for lunch. The owner was previously a chef in other restaurants and it shows with how clean the restaurant is and how delicious the food is. On Thursdays they do half price tacos which is an absolute steal. I also have to push back on the person who left a review saying the Al pastor burrito is too salty because I’m currently eating one and it’s delicious. Overall, if you live nearby you should come give this place a try because you will not be disappointed.

I hate to be the first non-5 star review, and I really wanted to like this place. The two people working were very friendly, and it seemed like a nice spot. I got an al pastor burrito and chips and salsa. There is a hidden fee if you pay by card, which I get for small purchases, but a burrito is $13, and I just don’t like surprise fees. The burrito/meat tasted a bit off. It is also picture with a side of rice and beans on the menu, but just comes by itself (smothered and with rice and beans inside to be fair…just not what is pictured). Everything was very salty. For chips and salsa ($4), you get two small cups of salsa. Both food-wise and value-wide, I was disappointed. With so many other Mexican restaurants and taco trucks around (Taco River just down the street is a good alternative), I will probably not be back.

This place went in after Tacos de Azteca closed. The menu & prices remain very similar. I am always worried when a place changes owners/names that the food will decline. Much to my delight, the food has actually improved. Today I ordered chilaquiles rojo with added carne asada. The chips were perfect, a little soft, a little crunchy. The sauce was flavorful and spicy! There were two fried eggs on top, and some grilled onions. They were hands down the best chilaquiles I’ve had. The beans & rice were clearly homemade & very good. If I had to nitpick, the horchata was a little too sweet, without any taste of spices. I will keep coming back here, for sure.
