Fantastic authentic Mexican food. The aroma when you walk in the door is mouth watering. Tip: they only serve menudo on Saturday and Sunday. Will stop every time we pass by the area.

If you’re in Early and need a breakfast solution, you won’t be disappointed with the delicious breakfast burritos. You also won’t be the only one with the same idea. There is usually a line at the window, but it moves quickly and efficiently. Great food and great prices.

Taco Rico has been in Early/Brownwood for almost 20 years now and although service can be slow at times, it’s mostly due to a high volume of customers eg. people from Brownwood, Early, Comanche, and even Bangs!?! They are very affordable such as 1 pint of menudo (❤️❤️❤️) going for around $6 and sausage, egg, and cheese burritos about $5. They are all bilingual, with fluent Spanish and very good English. The drive-thru can be slow, take-out recommended

I purchased an egg, chorizo, and bean burrito, I didn’t really care for the chorizo. I also purchased an egg, potato, bean and cheese which was very good. I purchased a dozen tamales, I will just say I have had better.

Best burrito in… Anywhere. The salsa is perfect, and I’ve NEVER found gristle in the steak. This is the epitome of what a hole in the wall taco shack should be. My only complaint is they aren’t open enough, and I often have to settle for the tacos across the street.
