We had some tacos and agua Fresca pineapple delicious. The birria tacos were good but needed salt and the consommé (the sauce) was very greasy. We also had a burrito carne asada it tasted good but had a lot of tortilla on one side. To be honest I don’t know if I’d go back.

Taco Pegaso in The Fairground Austin was pretty good although a little too greasy for my liking. The al pastor tacos though are great. The queso was a thick and had I not known, I would have thought vegan queso because of its consistency but tasted good.

5 stars from me. I went to this place a few months ago and was not impressed at all. Recently I saw they revamped the menu and changed some things up so I decided to give them a try again. And let me tell you I was not disappointed. Best Al pastor I have had in quite sometime. The salsa was very fresh and flavorful. I also tried the shrimp taco I loved that the shrimp was marinated, giving it a extra burst of flavor. I will definitely be returning again for lunch very soon. This time around I was greeted by 2 very nice young men who I believe are managers but I am unsure. However they were very welcoming and informative on the few questions I had. Delicious food, prompt service, and a friendly smile. What more can you ask for when dining out. Check this spot out, you can thank me later.

Soooo good! Drove downtown from South Austin to find a place to eat at night around 8:00 pm that wasn’t upscale because we were in plain clothes. The menu on the Fairground Food Court website wasn’t working but decided to try this place on a whim.

They serve rancid food here and get offended when you tell them that the food is rancid.

Fish taco was alright, nothing about it was amazing, and the queso was uninspired, just melted Velveeta. Never left queso on the table before. Fareground is wonderful, I miss the taco place that used to be there, that was worth a trip.

I stopped by the Fareground Austin food hall for a drink and snack before meeting up with friends. Taco Pegaso served up two delightful empanadas! Chicken Tinga and veggie. Both served with a lime cilantro crema. So yummy. The guy at the counter, also cooking the food was very nice. Thanks!

I heard that Taco Pegaso was under new management and while at the Faregrounds decided to give them a try. To my delight the food was really delicious and super fresh. I really enjoyed both the vegetarian and beef empanadas with the avocado cream sauce. The empanadas were super savory and juicy, and the avocado cream sauce was amazingly flavorful. I literally wanted to put it on everything. I also ordered their street corn elote salad with chips. It was a fabulous combo, super refreshing and tasty. I would highly recommend heading over here for some great eats. Don’t forget to save space for a slice of Chef Bryan’s famous cheesecake also being sold here. It is the most creamy delicious cheesecake you will have ever tasted. I definitely will be a repeat customer in the near future!

Food tastes decent. The serving size for the bowls is less than expected. The tacos are way too small.
