Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico and now a U.S. citizen, Don Pancho originally founded El Pollo Loco© which was a success that led him to open his first Taco Palenque® back in 1987 in Laredo, Texas. Taco Palenque® is mainly known for its authentic Mexican tacos. It has become the ultimate place to spend time with family and friends while enjoying a meal. We went there at around 11:30pm. We ordered green chicken enchilada and chicken breast fajita. I usually like taco palenque but this time the food was cold. Chicken had a smell. The fajita did not taste like fajita at all. It tasted like boiled chicken. Not going back there. The server was nice though and inside was clean.

First time ever seeing or coming to this place. It was very delicious for “fast food” the steak tacos were perfectly cooked and the horchata is the bomb!! This is a must stop every time we come to San Antonio now. Prices are reasonable and staff was friendly.

We were disappointed, the red enchilada sauce was subpar, tasted like red chili water, the street tacos were greasy and thrown into a very small paper basket. I believe Improvement is needed in quickly addressing any customer concerns at the time of service. We like Taco Palenque this is the second time at that location where we did not leave happy, perhaps I will go back there again one day to see if things have gotten better.

The parrillada is the best quick dinner to have. We get back every time we can. The restaurant is colorful, spacious and clean. The ambiance music is louder than necessary. I would suggest a softer mode.

Tacos have a pretty savory distinctive street tacos taste. However, the service is by far of the lowest quality, poor, indiferent and with no desire almost intentional to provide kind and excellent service. Serious training in customer service is much needed, such as a greeting, as taking orders to customers using drive thru service window and a smile at least as we finalizing the transaction customer service experience. Finally, the price IS NOT worth the contempt attitude from the staff thru out.

Drive-thru: Lady who was taking orders was not understanding, had to repeat a few times. When I drove up to pay she charged me wrong. Now I have to wait few days to be refunded for her mistake. I always give them a few times before not ever going again. This is not their first time I have had issues. It’s too bad because thier food is good but customer service is NOT!

Ordered a steak cheese quesadilla and bean & chz nachos. It was just a grilled taco not worth the 5 something they charge. The nachos were horrendous! They poured alllll liquid cheese and all these beans I couldn’t even eat it I had to throw it out! Soggy and nasty.
