Drove to this place after reading some reviews for breakfasts burritos. The ordering speaker is broken, so they do ask you to order at the window. Do yourself a favor and look at the menu ahead of time before you drive there. The lady who greeted me at the window was very nice. I ordered a ham breakfast burrito and a chorizo breakfast burrito. She asked if I wanted both salsas on the side. I asked “red and green?” she nodded. So it is not pork green chili like you order on smothered burritos. It’s a handheld burrito which is exactly what I was looking for. She helped me when the chip reader was having trouble reading my chip. I can see how some people may think they need to order in Spanish at this location and its mentioned in a lot of other reviews of other places I go to for burritos and menudo, but that’s certainly not the case in most places I’ve been to and wasn’t the case here. I asked her about the elote in a cup and she said it “served all day but only in a cup.” I’ll have to come back and try it. She did have me pull around and wait which I know another review said defeats the purpose of a drive-through. But I really appreciate that my burritos came out very hot and fresh. The one thing that I thought was really unique about this location is that they wrap their burritos in some thin cooking paper and THEN they wrap it in foil, so it was not dry at all. It kept all the heat in and i could still see grill marks on the tortilla which was also soft and had a steamed texture. Maybe you can tell they probably probably prep them ahead of time, but I appreciate the grilled tortilla.. They might just be making them to order too, so you get the tortilla right off the grill which makes it worth the wait. I really appreciate that they use potatoes and not French fries like some other places. The eggs and the cheese certainly made the inside of the burrito squishy and not dry. They used sliced ham, but it is not sliced thin and it was still very flavourful and the the chorizo was cooked to perfection. ❤️ Very flavourful I did not need to use the sauces. The green sauce was very flavourful as well, albeit a little sour or vinegary which happens per batch (I couldn’t tell if it was jarred or not I’ve tasted some with more fresh cilantro in them) and the red salsa was super hot, but also very flavourful. I think I can tell they might be using a little bit of fresh chili in that one. I would love to come back and try the other dishes as well as the daily fresh agua fresca and some of the desserts and the corn, but I think just sit down in the lobby. I’m excited to come back and see what else they have going on and I noticed that some of their pictures were very out of date, so I added two new pictures. They also are one of the only places to serve menudo (or pozole as another review said) every single day. Some places only serve it on the weekends since it takes so long to make.

First time trying Taco Mex after discovering them on GoogleMaps when nearby. Ordered via drive up window, parked out front, and someone brought our order out. It was almost 9pm, dark. Veggie breakfast burrito and pollo tacos were very good. Tasted and looked like quality food. Staff was very nice, better than a chain. We’ll be back. And it feels good to support a local business over a quick serve chain.

I love TacoMex I used to live off of Montview so I always went to the one off of Colfax which I absolutely loved so it was kind of hard for me to want to order from a different one but this one was actually really good my tacos were super fat and they gave me extra limes… However They didn’t give me any sauce to put on my tacos which made me sad because I like sauce on my tacos lol but other than that it was really good

Well I ordered two cabeza tacos and two birria tacos when I got home I was missing the cabeza tacos so I had to drive back to get my tacos. Tacos are tasty I would have given more stars but 10 minutes after I ate them I got a real bad stomach ache

First time here, we ordered one Bacon and one Sausage (Chorizo) burrito and Huevos con Chorizo plate and they were all delicious. You wouldn’t be disappointed with any of these, but the Sausage (Chorizo) burrito takes the cake.

Ordered online from their website to go. Was told upon arrival they don’t use that service anymore. Very confusing. Had to order and wait, cutting down my available lunch break time. Had to rush back to make it within the allotted break.

Terrible drive through breakfast burrito. The tortilla was practically just folded over, not rolled tight, so it was impossible to eat until I parked my car, opened it all the way up, and re-rolled it tight. The eggs were dried out (either cooked way too hot, or had been sitting). The bacon was super thick cut, and not cooked. Like seriously, raw, slimy, fatty bacon. The whole point of cooking bacon is to render that fat down til it gets at least a little bit of crisp on it. This bacon almost seemed like it was boiled. I thought there were no potatoes in it, til I got to the very bottom.
