A fairly new taco shop in otay ranch. We ordered the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, medium carne asada fries and churros. Food was good. Everything prepared fresh. Portions are small for the price. We ordered 3 shrimp tacos yet we got shrimp balls fried in batter with tons of cabbage and little chipotle sauce. It did say bartered shrimp. But this isn’t what we wanted at all. Clean, well organized shop with indoor and outdoor seating available. Prompt, friendly service. My review is more a 3.5 not a 3. A little pricey

Taco Lounge was advertised to us on Instagram and we decided to try it that night! We ordered two birria tacos, a grilled shrimp, a portobello, a al pastor and an asada. We wanted to try a lil of everything and a Mexican soda of course!! Everything was delicious, we practically inhaled the tacos! Price wise each taco is roughly $3-5 bucks, which is about average and considering you can try a variety – not bad at all.

Nice shop that has finally opened. Nice interior design with a good amount of interior seating and plenty of seating outdoors in a separate designated seating area. The food was good. Parking is much better than the other lounge location just a few miles away. Wait time for the food was just a bit long on our particular visit.

We live in the community of Escaya and this is a nice addition to our area. I have been able to ride my bike here a couple times. The times I have been here, it’s been the same female cashier up front and she has been very polite and attentive each time. Food comes out quick, fresh and super delicious! Their red sauce is great too. Nice flavor that doesn’t overpower any of the food you put it on. Will continue to come here in the future.

My family and I enjoy taco shop weekly. I love their all day breakfast and the birria is great! They are fast and fresh. Our school just did a fundraiser and even though the place was PACKED with a 30 minute wait, I watched the workers keep up with all of the orders and that was the best food we have had from them yet. It was hot and fresh. They have also expanded their menu and hours since they first opened. We love that they came to Escaya!

Food is not tasty at all. I had a breakfast burrito with bacon. The burrito had less than a slice of bacon. It seemed they added shavings of bacon. The eggs and bean had no flavor. Worst breakfast burrito ever. Even McDonalds and Taco bell have better breakfast burritos than this place.

This is not in any way a knock on the fact that the Fish Tacos and Grilled Shrimp were tasty but in regards to the overall experience. When we walked in, we were not welcomed to their restaurant nor did they thank us on the way out. Below are a few things we noticed that need some attention:

We had birria tacos and al pastor burrito bowl. Sooo good! Fresh and hot, and you could tell the corn tortillas were homemade. Very reasonable prices. This place is underrated.

Take out orders at this place a a complete disappointment. I have eaten there a few times since I live in the community and most of the time is just ok. There was one time I ordered a quesadilla for take out when I bit into it was loaded with onions. The amount of onions it had made it difficult to eat so I ended up throwing it away. There was another time my family and I went in ordered to go and waited probably about 20- 25 min for our food. When they called out our number we decided to just eat there since we had already waited so long. Our tacos were cold as if they had been sitting for a while we decided to just eat them anyway because it was a little busy and we felt bad however that does not make it ok. Today, I was once again extremely annoyed and disappointed when I took a bite of my breakfast burrito seemed like I was eating a tortilla rolled into a burrito, it had close to nothing. I did order it with no beans or fries which is what I typically order at any other taco shop but never once have I received a burrito with hardly anything in it. Their food is not cheap, and for what they’re charging they really need to do better. I will not be supporting this business any longer and I have let the community know so hopefully they step up their game.
