First-time customer, and pleasantly pleased with this little corner gem. Claudia Lopez took our order and made me feel right at home. We hit it off as if we were old-time friends. That kind of customer service is hard to find!

Best breakfast place in San Antonio. I am not a breakfast person and I like this restaurant. They have the best chilaquiles rojos. The green ones are good too. But the red sauce chilaquiles are delicious.

Generally I don’t eat at any place the word that has tacos in it. But I was next door at the Pandaria and was hungry so I went next door to Taco La Gardenia. It seemed so confusing that I must speak Spanish in any public establishment to be understood. I order the same staple that I eat the first time I try a new place, Cheese Enchiladas. It is so simple that no one can really mess it up if you are using premium ingredients. It was Ok. My wife tried some Asada, it was ugly. I tried some and it was not so good. The tortillas were fresh and tasty.

Getting packed very quickly. Service is good. Spanish speakers only. Good portions for your money. Very affordable. Great option for Tex mex. they have a bakery with Mexican sweet bread in another room. Very yummy. Coffee is nice and hot. Restrooms are clean. Breakfast all day on the Saturday. Closed Sunday. Only open from 6-2.

Picked up some sweetbreads for the family and everyone loved them we each had something different and all the pastries were delicious. Highly recommend their apple danish. Taco La Gardenia has perfected the sweetbreads.

Ording food is ridiculous you have to order on the bakery side, No menu offered to look at and if you look special order on board to your right, cashier is quick to tell No more special over . So how are you to know what they serve other than the specials on the board so it’s like a guessing game you say a food the she say no we don’t have ,then she’s what else you guess again hoping to hit the lottery and shes say yes how many she proceeds to rings you up takes your money and then say ok next and you have to move around like playing checkers cause people who dine in come and try cut line to pay , no seating waiting orders
