Have been a fan of Taco John’s ever since serving in the USAF near Omaha back in the early 70s. Back then they were tiny “walk-in and order” establishments with no indoor seating, little 12′ by 30′ shacks. Decades later I’ve been noticing how cautious we need to be when visiting unfamiliar Taco Johns. Not all are, let’s say, “up to snuff” regarding friendliness and cleanliness. THIS ONE IS A GOOD ONE! It’s been my favorite Taco Johns now for many years, whether choosing to eat inside -or- making use of their efficient drive-up window. Good management and decent employees here always make this restaurant a good experience and find me wanting to return in the future. Quite popular locally.

I don’t come here often as this location is a town over in Gering. However very rarely have they disappointed. Food is always consistent and service is always kind. I’ve never had to wait long for my food to be prepared either. Decor/dining area is very welcoming as well. Restaurant is well maintained and parking is good. Location is great, right on the Scottsbluff/Gering highway.

This was a drive through order. I ordered the Boss Burrito value meal. I had some questions about the burrito because I’d never had one before. The person I spoke with was knowledgeable and courteously answered my questions to my satisfaction. The meal took a little longer than usual because I had asked that the Ole side dish to be unseasoned, but the slight delay was well worth it. The burrito had more black beans than I would have liked, but overall, everything was delicious. I will very likely order this meal again.

Friendly staff and greeted when I walked in. Clean dining room and salsa bar. Enjoyed the Sierra chicken sandwich, it was fresh and hot so were the oles! Drive thru was busy but the staff was efficient and I noticed cars didnt wait long. A great place to go for a quick bite to eat that’s friendly and quick.

Fast courteous service. As usual however, condiment bar was empty of many items. Though failure to upkeep it seems to be a problem at every Taco John’s I have been to, so not a problem specific to just the Gering branch. Otherwise, all else was superb.
