Really great tacos. Wide selection to chose from – 3 for 18$. Drinks were good and strong! Also great, attentive servers. Great for a quick bite with the fast service.

First time visiting Taco Diablo while in town for a wedding. The service was excellent as well as the food. I had the barbacoa total. The meat was tender and free of excess fat gristle. The rest in our group had the two street tacos with a side salad special. I thought the salad was large for a special and was fresh with a citrus vinaigrette. The restaurant allows you to order from two sister restaurants’ menu, so there is really a wide number of options for everyone. The salsa and chips plus guacamole was very good as were the chips appear to be made fresh/homemade.

Great vibe, great food. Had the crunchy fish and shrimp tacos. (My husband grabbed my chicken tinga) As a Luxury Real Estate advisor on the North Shore, I would recommend Taco Diablo to clients looking for a fun evening in Evanston.

My friends and I came here for a mini celebration. The decor was nice, the lighting was dim. They had another floor upstairs but that wasn’t as nice as the first floor. The service was very accommodating. As for the food, most of us got the tacos. They were good but not delicious. They definitely needed more sauce to moisten them a bit because they were dry, in my opinion. The dessert though was delicious. We all enjoyed it. Overall, it was a great night!!

Great taco combinations! We’ve tried them all and none disappoint. The drinks are plenty strong too! Service was attentive on a busy Saturday night. Prices are elevated, but inline with other downtown eateries. Will definitely return!

The food is consistently good, as are the drinks. The tacos can easily be gluten free and I’ve never had issues eating here. The staff is always super welcoming and positive and service has been quite good every time we visit. The atmosphere is also really fun! All around a great place for dinner and tacos.

A local favorite of mine. The fun atmosphere coupled with the delicious food continues to draw is back. Great for groups or a date night. My favorite part of the restaurant is thag they share a kitchen with their sister restaurant “Blue Horse Tavern” and you can order from either menu. They are accommodating to large parties and is always packed.

Oh yes, go for the Bang Bang Shrimp, divine! The Tortilla Soup was some of the best I’ve ever had. Both dishes are pictured. Good stuff.

I would call this the best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food is super innovative and just plain delicious. I also appreciate all the vegetarian and pescaterian options. Even the chips are super flavorful, fresh and non-greasy. You don’t feel disgusting after eating here. I especially like the squash tacos and the Yes Please cocktail. Service is casual and friendly. I highly recommend. And it’s really cool you can also order from their other restaurants” menus.

Guacamole was fresh and tasty. The chips were crunchy, fresh, still warm but a bit salty. I wonder if I could have asked for no or lightly salted. Salad with salmon was satisfying, romaine was crunchy and waitress recommended cucumber ranch dressing was delicious.
