We have visited many of their restaurants over the years and really enjoyed them. This one was definitely not in the same category. Poor service to the point where employees didn’t know how to make certain items on the menu. Also when the crowd died down and we were one of only two customers left in the store, the tables and floor were a mess and yet all the employees were in the back talking and on their phones. Many of the soda dispensers for Fountain drinks did not work or just for putting out water. When we came in and left there was no greeting no thank you very much no nothing. This is definitely occasion I would not return to. This place needs a serious management shake up. By the way if you’re the owner of this location and you read this please don’t send me some scripted response that you are ready to treat everybody with a smile because your employees represent you and they are not smiling or being kind to anyone. Get a clue

Wanted to dine in and sit the tiki hut themed round table so I took raised bar stools off table in order to sit but young employee told me to put the stools back up on table because they don’t let people sit there in the evening. I assume the reason is so that closing time cleaning is easier.

Asked for onions. There were more than 1/4 of a cup of white onions on each of our burritos. It made them uneatable. Management didn’t care. Worst taco del mar I have ever been to, will never go back. What a joke and waste of money.

So this might be only my 2nd time ever eating at taco Del Mar. I don’t know why I haven’t eaten here more often but there isn’t really anything That stands out to me as being special or unique from other Mexican fast food joints. I decided to stop here out of convenience during a short Trip I made. Not knowing what was good on the menu I decided to go with their special which was a chorizo burrito.

Updated: 10/17/21 This place continues to have The best burritos in the area. Mondo is the way to go. Many choices of ingredients. Build the mondo the way you want it. Make it a burrito or make it a meal. Want something lighter, their fish tacos are great. The store and restrooms were clean. The staff was Friendly and helpful. Try the green wraps, they are my favorite.

Husband and I swung in to grab dinner tonight around 7pm, 2 girls working neither of them said hi to us then was asked what we wanted. Our food is so gross I just threw mine away. Paid extra for guacamole and chips and seriously feel robbed it was the worst guacamole I’ve ever had. Sooo many cilantro stems and was brownish nasty tasted old 10/10 would not recommend this spot.
