Going to Ta Chen was one of the most genuine and welcoming restaurants I have ever been to. We ordered take out on Christmas Eve. When I got there my food wasn’t ready, so the owner (David) gave me some soup, water, and a cookie while I waited. He talked to me about being in business for 37 years and how the community of Garden Grove was wonderful. Both the customers before and after me knew David. And by the way, the food was good! What a find.

I went there today. They weren’t open for dining only” to go” I think. I walked in and the lady didn’t speak a word of English so I walked out. She said it was closed. Not sure why. The website doesn’t say it’s closed

The food is not that good as I was expecting, when I arrived I was told that only to go orders where available, then I asked for a combination plate, the lady told me that it wasn’t a fast food restaurant, so I ordered 2 dishes, but I got really disappointed.

They have reasonably priced great food and friendly service. We each had the szechwan dinner. It came with hot and sour soup, egg roll, fried shrimp, wrapped chicken, and rice. We tried the orange chicken on recommendation of a friend and the moo shu pork. I like how they put scrambled egg in the rice. Each entree was enough for two.
