All dishes were awesome. I highly recommend the spicy eggplant dish, popcorn chicken and zha jiang noodle.

Excellent and outstanding Taiwanese cuisine. Restaurant super clean and comfortable. Super helpful customer service. Menu has many diverse choices. I had the beef and red bell pepper fried rice and it was off the chart delicious. I also had the vegetable spring rolls for an appetizer and they also were fresh and delicious. The iced passion fruit green iced tea I had with my meal was also delicious and refreshing. If you visit Northampton in the Bay State you absolutely must visit T. Root for the best Taiwanese cuisine you will ever find anywhere. Super highly recommended.

We come here several times a month, usually for lunch on Saturdays. I rotate several favorites on the menu and I find I’m often craving them. The teas are really good as well. Last week I was here on a weekday though and the food was not as good. I don’t know if there’s a different chef on weekdays but something to keep in mind.

Really great food. Tough to open during a pandemic. They’re doing a great job. Try the spicy cucumber salad, sweet buns, hot and sour soup. Everything’s very good!

We drove almost an hour to get here. Arrived at 8:08pm (they close at 9) and they wouldn’t seat us because they don’t seat people starting “a little after 8”. If the food wasn’t good we wouldn’t return. But alas, I have been craving Taiwanese food and this place definitely fits the bill. Beef Noodle soup, sesame cold noodles, popcorn chicken, scallion pancakes were all good. (We ordered turnip cakes but never got them but at least we weren’t charged for them.) Customer service isn’t stellar but I will come back because the food is good. Just remember to GET HERE AN HOUR BEFORE CLOSING OR THEY WON’T SEAT YOU. The end.

A great and authentic Taiwanese restaurant. Hakka stir fired and oyster pan cake are great. The only drawback is that they are short of staffs so the waiting time is long.

Food was soooo good! I recommend having the beef stewed noodle soup (spicy). It was our favorite plate. This was our first time having Taiwanese food and we were blown away. They have good prices too. You eat good and support a local business!

They advertise themselves as Taiwanese street food and that’s what drew me in. Something different. I had a hard time picking something from the menu because there was so much that looked so good. I wish they had pictures but I used what I found through Google reviews. I am gluten-free and they had many options. My wife had beef chow fun, I had seafood noodle soup with rice noodles. We had an order of calamari for an appetizer. Everything was amazing. I’ve only had calamari at Italian restaurants and this had a very different flavor-delicious! Both of our main dishes were amazing. Can’t wait to go back and try something else. Each dish we purchased was $12.

We especially enjoyed the congee, turnip cake, scallion pancake and boba tea. Taiwanese dishes are not known for strong flavors but a mix of delicate flavors and fresh ingredients. We were happy we found this restaurant!

Really good food. I ordered the stewed beef soup & dang! The meat is melt in your mouth! The broth is flavorful & was not overly spicy for me.
