Great for a food court style small restaurant, while the dishes are not authentic, they all taste great. The portion is good too. However the bubble tea and sushi are not the best.

It’s pretty good but I’ve only been here once. I’ve tried a lot of Asian fast food places and their food is better than average. The lo mien is tasty, not too salty or dry. I also got the sesame chicken which was tender but just a lil too strong with the seasoning (kind of salty). The tofu was reallly good!! Nice customer service too.

The most mediocre mall-style take out spot you’ve ever seen. Portions are large but lukewarm and bland. I got the chicken teriyaki and it did not “hit the spot” like other mall chicken teriyakis usually do.

Left me Szechwanting a new Asian food option at the Busch Student Center. Sushi was tasteless, brand soy sauce was awful, all the hot food is greasy and unappetizing. Its not supposed to be incredible, but it is supposed to be appetizing at least. It is food, after all, and should be treated with respect, because that, in turn, is how you treat the customers. They clearly do not care about the food.

Really terrible food overall. I went here once, it was bad. I’m an open minded person so another day a few weeks later I thought I would give it another try. It was worse. The food is way too greasy and saturated. I also feel like they use copious amounts of MSG and in both occasions the food made me feel awful after eating it. Its a shame because college kids go nuts over Asian cuisine because usually its inexpensive, delicious, and filling. Sad to say, this place misses the mark by a long shot.

Have to give this two stars maybe three on a good day. The lo mein is very greasy and the rice pretty flavorless. The people are nice but poor quality food. The General Tso chicken is sub-par and has little meat and some pieces just breading! The price is cheap but i wouldn’t recommend

I cannot understand the harsh reviews for Ichiban. The food is not meant to be the healthiest, most natural food on Earth. It’s 6 dollars for a plate full of rice or lo mein, and then any two toppings. The food tastes fine, and for the price they offer it at, it’s a bargain. In the Busch Student Center, there really aren’t places that offer better and cheaper food than Ichiban. It’s a staple for me on Busch.

Was throwing up shortly after eating their sushi from food poisoning. Steer clear.

Tried this place freshman year and it was OK. I would get the sushi, but it’s over priced and poor quality. I tried their miso soup once. It looked like miso soup but tasted like wonton soup. The soup gave me a headache for 12 hours. I told my friend not to eat here, but he tried it anyway. He got a headache from their meat. There’s likely a ton of MSG in most of their foods. College students need working, live brain cells. Avoid this place.

Do yourself a favor and just go to China Star or Noodle Gourmet if you want that takeout Chinese itch scratched. I know Busch Student Center isn’t exactly a culinary capital but much better can be done for one’s gastrointestinal systems.
