Met a friend who is a regular here for lunch. Very friendly, attentive staff and quick service. Two companions ordered the chicken and broccoli lunch special while I ordered the chicken and cashews. We all started with egg drop soup which was delicious. The noodles and sauce on the table was also fresh and very good.

Consistently great-tasting food. Lots of options. I happen to be vegan, and they are always accommodating if I need to make a substitution. Even so, there are enough menu items I will eat just as they are. Everyone in my family loves this place best, and we have been loyal customers for decades. Very glad to have them so close by!

The food is always good, freshly made and the staff are very helpful. My dining companion really wanted chicken with bok choy, which was not on the menu. The server didn’t hesitate to say they would make it, and asked what type of sauce was wanted. The dish was delicious and the server was delighted that he could help out and accommodate our wishes.

It’s the best American Chinese food I’ve ever had, including several years living in NYC and trying many places that didn’t measure up. Szechuan Star is a staple for my family, and I appreciate the hard work and heart that goes into delivering their consistently high quality cuisine.

Order all white meat with chicken dishes, no egg in fried rice so its made to order, we only dine in during peak times or else the food and crispy noodles are stale. The tangerine chicken is amazing! Wonton and sweet and sour soups are the best! BYOB is a plus and a great and affordable place for a party! And who doesn’t like fresh orange wedges and jello and fortune cookies for dessert?

Good reviews for this place are bogus….I have had several bad encounters with horrible owner as well. He is extremely sexist and allows male customers to sit wherever they wish. I was told I couldn’t sit by the window because his waiters eat their lunch at those tables. Since when does the wait staff’s preference come before a customer? This is a prime example of a typical ignorant bad mannered Chinese and he’s lost my business as well.
