Have not been to Szechuan at Ridgewood Farms in a long time and was disappointed they no longer have the tasty lunch buffet, but the lunch special was a great substitute. I chose Shrimp Lo Mein which comes with Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of juicy shrimp mixed with the tasty noodles and various vegetables (carrots, green onions, celery, bok choy etc) The fried rice was acceptable and was more flavorful with a tad of soy sauce. The spring roll was crispy and a little hard to eat, as it fell apart with one bite, but was still delicious! The server was very attentive and pleasant, providing excellent service. This is obviously still a popular lunch location for all walks of life. The lunch special was delicious and an excellent value. Atmosphere is uplifting and attractive. I’ll be making another visit soon.

It was a nice experience. Food was good. Even as leftovers it was still good. Service was great everyone was very nice. Only thing bad was the Men’s bathroom was not very clean. Smelled clean but after getting in there the more you looked around the scarier it became.

We had a group here and tried many different things on the menu. Everyone loved their food which was served in ample quantities and very quickly. Service was friendly. The restaurant is nothing different from most Chinese restaurants but very clean and ample seating.

Surprisingly, excellent tasting food! Place is under new ownership and management, and the chef has revamped the flavor and is updating the menu. The food tastes 5 stars, totally unexpected for a restaurant in salem VA. The chef from New York is amazing from what i sampled!!

One of my favorite places for tofu dishes. Always fresh and extra spicy!

I have heard nothing but great reviews of this place in the area. We have been looking for a good takeout place and nothing had been even decent in Roanoke/Salem area and so we are here now and the waitress has been nothing but so helpful and nice. Perfect place all across the board.

Disappointing lunch. Hardly any sauce with my Sweet and Sour Chicken or Moo Goo Gai Pan. Egg rolls were undercooked. No Fortune Cookies in our take out order either. First time in years of eating there we’ve ever been unhappy with their food.

I was excited they had moo shu on the menu pork or beef. The guy overheard me and offered that they could make it with any protein. So I got the moo shu shrimp. It was amazing! Service was awesome. We will be bacj.

Went here on a Sundat afternoon for a late lunch, we missed the buffet time so can not comment on it.
