Update: since my original review I’ve come back a few times and tried in total more than 10 dishes. I’m glad to say all of them are either very good or good enough (I don’t quite like the double cooked pork). This is more consistent than most of the restaurants I’ve ever been to. They’re all very good at a few but terrible at the rest. This restaurant is such a gem.

This is unlike your normal Chinese place in the best way. It’s perfect for the traditional take out options if you are not looking to step out of the box. But you should order from their Sichuan menu. Hands down the best and most unique Asian food I’ve had. I love the combination of spicy and vinegar sour flavors.

I really enjoy Sichuan/Szechuan cuisine, so I was thrilled when this restaurant opened. It’s awesome that Columbia has a restaurant dedicated to authentic Chinese food. The three dishes I ordered, Cumin Flavored Beef with Chili Sauce, Poached Slice Fish in Hot Chili Oil, and Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles were all very tasty. The portion sizes were good. It was also cute seeing a little Asian boy trying to service us.

Wow! It’s been a while since we ate at Szechuan House as they were closed due to pandemic. My husband and I were super excited to dine in at its new location. In my opinion, it would be nice if there were even more Chinese restaurants we like to go to in Columbia; this is certainly one of them. The food delivery is lightning FAST and food quality is great! The owner is really friendly and super efficient. Highly recommend If you haven’t tried here.

Best thing to happen to Columbia in the history of Columbia restaurants. Food is very authentic and hot and fresh. Everything is clean. Service is friendly. My family’s favorite place hands down.

BY FAR the best Chinese cuisine in Columbia. This was the most flavorful Chinese food I’ve had anywhere in the world. I love that they don’t deep fry all the meat after covering it in breading. Moreover, when they say “spicy” on their menu, they mean it, which is also refreshing (when too many dishes labelled as “spicy” are hardly that). It is a bit pricier than most other Chinese restaurants, but if you want flavor, you’ve got to pay for it; you won’t be disappointed that you did.

This place has some amazing food. I tried it after having multiple people recommend it to me, and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is small and diner like, but when the food came out, I felt like I had made reservations for the place. Definitely a must try, and if you are looking for a chill spot to take your significant other for some great food, this is the place.

Really good Chinese food, best I’ve had in Columbia! This is a small family-owned place that shut down during the pandemic and recently reopened. Go support them!

Legitimate real Chinese food in Columbia! Had the Dan Dan Mian and Mapo Dofu, both were excellent. Can’t wait to explore more of the menu of this place, everything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked terrific…

I’ve eaten here 5+ times since they’ve reopened. The food has been excellent each time. I highly recommend the Crispy Shrimp and House Special Fish and Tofu in Spicy Sauce. I will absolutely keep coming regularly. If you’re on the fence, check this place out! You won’t regret it.
