So, I should have taken a pic before digging in, but I’m greedy. This is my 2nd time getting food from this restaurant. I wanted to wait to complete a review to see if there was consistency with the food and service. This place gets a gold star. The food is very fresh and plentiful, enough for 2 meals. The service is fast as well. I love how they prepare the General Tso’s chicken. It’s moist yet crispy (not tough). The flavor of the sauce is excellent too, just the right amount of heat.

This food was so nasty I was about to bring it back I paid almost 50 dollars for some of the worst Chinese food I’ve ever ate.The shrimp fried rice was bland with a hand full of shrimp in a large.sweet and sour chicken taste old and had a burned it was hard to chew.shrimp and broccoli was bland and shrimp was mushy almost like it was mash potatoes. This was highway robbery paid 50.00 dollars for food that was so bad a dog probably wouldn’t eat it.Wonton soup was ok at best .It a shame because they used to be good this place went down I would never eat here again or recommend this place to anyone else.

Okay, I’m from out of town and this place is hidden gem. Food was as described, authentic Szechuan cuisine. Fresh and delicious. Absolutely loved it.

Food over priced for such small portions. No customer service skills. House low-mein only consist of couple pieces of finely shredded chicken, pork and beef. Noodles were over cooked. Quality and quantity is not worth it for their prices. They Used to be much better several years ago; and I would travel 1/2hr; but now and in past year that I have experienced, their food really diminished in taste, quality, quantity and definitely customer service. You’re better off ordering from your neighborhood Chinese store. And same your money and time. I order combination plater(house lo mein and pork fried rice $15. Over priced overcooked and under portions

The customer service was fine but the food was atrocious. The Lo mein was so dry and flavorless. The Mongolian beef was flavorless and hardly any of it for a not so cheap price either. This kind of low quality food is what I think you’d get as your last meal on death row.

Szechuan Express Has The Worst Food Ever, My Daughter & I Ordered Beef & Broccoli and it wasn’t Beef when We bit into the beef we discovered hard particles inside of it, and the Broccoli was missing, A very long wait time and customer service was the absolute worst, please don’t ever go there, I’ve reported them to the Department Of Health, they need to be closed IMMEDIATELY ZERO STARS FOR THIS ESTABLISHMENT!

Had a craving for their great food tonight and they were completely swamped with orders and a 40+ min wait. That really says something about how good their food is IMO. CoL increases have really hit their prices hard too, and I paid prob $10 more on my usual order from cost a year ago.

Like the majority of the reviewers, I rate five stars. The food has been consistent for many years now. When House of Chen, and Imperial Inn of Chinatown closed, we needed a new place. David’s Mai Lai Wah Is a contender, but sometimes, they never answer the phone. Szechuan Express is close by, consistent, and very reasonable when stacked up against the competition. We especially enjoy the Shrimp lo-mein and General T’so Chicken. Later closing hours may be more convenient, but if you plan ahead, it works. Like other reviewers have said, the quality of the take out is hard to beat, and the staff pleasant and accommodating.
