My favorite restaurant in Bay St Louis! The food is excellent, there’s a great wine list, and the staff is amazing! I went to celebrate my birthday and it was definitely a great special occasion spot! The shrimp remoulade appetizer was great, and the ropa vieja, BBQ shrimp and grits, and BBQ shrimp poboy were favorites with our group. Also there were so many great dessert options we ordered about half of them! Key lime pie and creme brulee were excellent. I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant!

We were so fortunate to get a reservation at such a late notice. A local merchant recommended them to us. Since they only take reservations, we didn’t expect to get one when we called.

We were about 10 minutes late arriving due to rain and trains and they greeted us with open arms and were very understanding. Taken to our table and greeted with a Happy birthday for my husband. The sunchoke soup was delicious. My husband enjoyed his fish dish and I got the shrimp curry and while not spicy like I’m used to with Thai food, it had a wonderful lemongrass flavor that was very unusual and super delicious. Dessert was devine. Loved the ambience and warmth of the house feel. Service was excellent. A great place to go for a romantic evening.

Excellent. Can’t believe it took us two years to try it. Old house atmosphere reminds me of Brigtsen’s in New Orleans. Service is attentive but not invasive. Feels much more local than the other bigs downtown….Fields/Thorny O. Recommend.

Sycamore House is still the best. We have been coming to BSL since 2010, the ambience is charming, the staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and the food of course is 5 star. The menu is interesting and ingredients are always fresh and wonderfully combined. The best in town without at doubt!

I took my husband here for his Birthday celebration on a Sunday. Brunch here was wonderful! The service was excellent and the food delighted with a perfect flavor bouquet and lovely presentation. Prices are also reasonable for this level of dining experience. Also, the atmosphere takes you to the quintessential Southern home. It feels like you are in the Gone with the Wind era, and Scarlett will be out any minute. Must visit! Well worth the 45 minute drive from Gulfport!

The scallops special and 8oz full cut fillet were some of the best I have ever had. It’s pickup or out door dining only, but the patio is very romantic and heaters are supplied.

The Sycamore house is a Bay Saint Louis institution. But, it does not rely on it’s history or reputation to get by. The food, staff and atmosphere are excellent. Highly recommended.

It was my first time dining at the Sycamore House and I will definitely go back. The menu is straight forward with good alternatives. The daily fish special was delicious. The service was professional, attentive and I never felt rushed – I think we were the last ones to leave before closing.
