If one loves spicy Chinese cuisine, this is a restaurant that one should try. The stone pot mapo tofu is a must try if one loves tofu. The sauce is sufficiently spicy but the tofu is like a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

We tried SXY Szechuan last night and felt really disappointed. We ordered the fat intestines with taro and chicken. The taste was not authentically spicy and numb – I understood the alteration; the intestines shank into thin circles; and the chicken was meatless – just necks, ribs, and wing tips! What a disappointment!

I had a solo lunch at SXY Szechuan and I was overall satisfied with my experience. The pork and bell peppers were very spicy and flavorful, and I enjoyed the festive oriental décor of the restaurant. The service was a bit standoffish at first, but the server warmed up after a while. Overall, I would recommend SXY Szechuan to anyone looking for a good Szechuan meal in Honolulu.

The experience here was fantastic. The staff are polite and very attentive. The food here is served family style and the portions are large. We had four people and it was more than enough food with Dan Dan Noodles, and the 3 dishes in the pics. We had fried rice, twice cooked pork and the beef strips. All three we’re delicious and cooked perfectly. The food comes out hot and fresh. You also get a perfect level of spice!

Looking for SPicY food? Then come to SXY Szechuan. They have amazing spicy food like pork ribs, pigs large intestine(sound Disgusting but REALLY yummy) and they also have rice to eat. They also have wine, cocktails, and sodas. The service here is also great, they are so friendly and fast getting your food. And the most important part is if you are a a non spicy person, don’t worry, they non spicy dumplings you can enjoy.

We ordered the Szechuan style pork salad, Szechuan flavor hot pot with beef, stir fried shredded potatoes with green peppers and stir fried pork slice with sweet and sour flavors. Highly recommend the Szechuan style pork salad. The shredded potatoes definitely needs more work in terms of cutting potatoes into thin slices (see pic for detail). Szechuan flavor hot pot with beef was under seasoned. However, people at this place were super nice to us so we still had a great experience.
