I was really excited to try this place, and I might even go back someday, but my experience was too hilarious not to share. We had a reservation for 8 and waited 1.5 hours for our food. No communication from management regarding the wait. They said they were “busy”, but there were many open tables. Having worked in the service industry for years, this was a pathetic excuse. I’ve seen busy and this was not busy. Especially since we had a reservation and they knew we would be there at a certain time.

Pleasantly surprised! With a name like “Swamp Boil” I would not have expected a good bahn mi or pho but there it was! Our server, Syd, was friendly and attentive. We ordered three lunch specials and everything was great (not completely authentic Vietnamese food but still very flavorful and delicious). We’ll definitely be back to try some of their other food. Service alone was outstanding. They have inside or outside dining available.

Everything tasted BAD, I got the tournament special meals and they were not good. The soups were watered down & had none of the flavors they were supposed to have. I might even say the bun rieu tasted old. What’s worse is it took them over an hour to bring us out this awful food I honestly didn’t even finish any of it, & took home some leftovers because I didn’t want to be wasteful but still didn’t want to eat them.

We went to this place for dinner. Ordered cucumber salad, seafood boil, dirty rice and garlic bread. First, do not waste your money to order cucumber salad, not any sauces on it, pure cucumber and peanut. Really disappointed! When I tried it I think something is wrong cause in the menu it said clearly that the dish has mint, citrus, peanuts and chili. I talked to the waiter and he brought me a small bowel of sauce which has a little bit mint, chili and really watery. After adding this sauce in the dish, still taste not really good. Second is the dirty rice, it’s okay dish, if you order seafood boil I would recommend to order this dish so you can mix the rice with seafood boil to eat. Otherwise the dirty rice is kind of lack of flavor. Garlic bread is ok too. The last one we ordered is the seafood boil. It was really good, highly recommend! Especially the egg and shrimp!

We had a wonderful experience here! The food was so fresh and tasty! It definitely brought back memories of our time living in New Orleans. We shared the Deep South with a side of garlic bread and fries. Tons of shrimp, crawfish and sausage and a huge snow crab cluster. The corn and potatoes in the boil were also great. On top of the delicious food was the amazing service. Anne walked us through the menu and gave us knowledgeable suggestions. She was attentive and kind. We look forward to going back and trying other dishes on the menu!
