Swadley’s has a reputation for god bbq. First time there, it was so bad I’ll never go back. My wife had a chicken plate with fried okra and corn. The chicken had to be old it was so dry she couldn’t eat it. Soaked it in what they called “spicy bbq sauce”. It had no flavor. Had chunks of jalapeños in it I guess that’s why they called it spicy.

When you’re in Oklahoma City area, Swadley’s Bar-B-Q knows how to make you feel at home and fill your tummy with lots of yummy BBQ. It’s a mixture of casual order at the counter, but with cheerful servers bringing whatever you need. The salad bar was a nice mixture of greens and things too.

The quality of food has really gone downhill. The last three times I have ate here it has been HORRIBLE. After the 2nd time I swore I would not go back but out of convenience I did and completely wasted $30. I ordered 2 chopped BBQ sandwich’s and both of them were full of fat, there was no good meat whatsoever. The fries were soggy as if they had been sitting for a few hours also. I was very upset considering how much they charge per meal only to have to throw every bit of it away.

This is the first time I’ve been to this Swadley’s. We ate inside and I was impressed by how new everything looked. They have a tunnel that leads into the restaurant that reminds me of going into a mine shaft. It’s actually pretty cool. I think the lighting was brighter than the other Swadley’s I’ve been to. So, how is the BBQ? I enjoyed the brisket I ate, but it was a small portion. I had turkey too and it was the best I’ve ever had. They smoke their baked potatoes and those are excellent as well. We stayed way too long, like usual, but it’s a comfortable place to hang out. Our waiter was great! She made the day of one of our grumpy gang by listening to him and fulfilling his silly request. Great experience all around.

Fanfreakingtastic! Delicious. I live this place and I absolutely love the BBQ. I highly recommend the brisket. Chopped and wet with some BBQ sauce on the side. The chopped sandwich with the onion haystraws…some ranch and butter bread pickles. Yummy !!! Plus the sweet teas is almost as good as mine. The service is great and even the manager makes his rounds to make sure everything is good. Which is super nice. Y’all are my favorite.

I am from Texas, but currently live in Georgia. I stumbled upon Swadley’s today, while visiting family. I was very impressed. I ordered the food to-go. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I didn’t expect the food to be so good. My brother lives nearby and had never had Swadley’s BarBQ. We were both so happy with our food. I ate at quite a few places during my recent trip to Oklahoma City and I have to say this was the highlight of my trip.

Just moved into town and looking for great places to eat. This definitely makes the list for somewhere I can go at least once a week. The ribs were fantastic, nice in size and flavorful. The chicken breast was also juicy along with the spicy bbq, the experience was great, most definitely will recommend! The picture doesn’t do justice for the amazing food.

Not a reflection on service or cleanliness. I have it two stars simply because of the food . I love great barbecue and I decided to walk a few blocks to try this place and ordered the Oklahoma sampler. I started off with a bite of ribs no sauce just to see how they were barbecuing. Ribs were tougher than they needed to be ..kind of bland. Pulled pork bland..but cooked long enough. Brisket dry and bland. Mashed potatoes were good, standard Mac n chz, roll was good. Sweet tea was excellent. I chose not to bring it up to a manager but tipped my waiter and left. I just want you to know just because it’s called the Oklahoma sampler doesn’t mean that’s our standard.
