Sushiya is a delicious sit down restaurant and a great place for an unhurried meal. They make everything when ordered so the timing can be a bit slow but well worth the wait.

Food/Taste/Flavor : 4/5 Rice was a bit hard and smushed; didn’t have the texture of sushi rice. Relied heavily on their sauces for flavor. They cut back on the more expensive ingredients in the rolls. The tempura was soggy in the roll. Good wasabi not grainy. Presentation was great and beautifully rolled! It is more americanized so the sauces are pretty heavy – a bit too sweet. Definitely hits the spot though and fulfills your sushi craving in SLO.

Delicious, and under rated for the reasonable pricing and great taste. The teriyaki chicken dinner combo is one of the best in town, coming with cali roll, miso, salad and tempura. So yummy!

Sometimes you want high end sushi, but sometimes you want affordable, dank Japanese food. This is where Sushiya comes in.

Went for dinner and Dennis showed outstanding customer service. Recommend a few rolls and food was great..

The shrimp tempura was pretty good but my tuna was so chewy. We ordered take out so maybe it’s better to dine in.

This place is great!!! If you love sushi try the chirashi bowl. It is huge and beautiful and really really delicious. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. This is my go-to sushi joint in SLO.

Came for Sunday lunch. I liked everything I ordered—sesame chicken combo plate. Other couple with us who go frequently said they think the chef changed and the bulgogi isn’t as good.

Korean BBQ ribs were so salty they were basically inedible. The spicy pork was more like Mexican food. Forgot to bring our green salad. Too bad, this place used to be good.

Good rolls and not too expensive. Great selection of items and never very busy. For no one on staff speaking Japanese, great sushi combos. Fresh ingredients too.
