We went their for a birthday celebration and ordered the buffet meal. Even though the waitress was great and did a awesome serving us. But the foods is absolutely unacceptable, food can out super slow. Went finished first round of orders, we wait over 10 minutes for the second orders to come. The garlic shrimp is not fresh and the soup is salty. Only best tonight was their service is make up for the lack of fresh food.

AVOID!!! So disappointing from what I remember. They have really gone downhill. Went on a Friday night and it was dead. Instant red flag. Sushi rolls were covered in sauce and so much rice. Another red flag but people in Elk Grove don’t know know any better. I could go on but JUST AVOID AT ALL COST. This place has 3 stars for a reason. They just don’t care anymore. The hostess even turned down a couple 45 minutes before closing. They were shocked and saddened. Who refuses business or doesn’t want to work during these times. Actually this place does. Close down or rename to SushiNoNo. They’re so understaffed because no one wants to work for them. There’s even a sign at every table with the excuse on why they’re so terrible. Shame, disgraceful and such bad luck.

I’ve only had takeout from this Sushimono Elk Grove location, and all my experiences have been great. Happy hour even extends to takeout – buy 2 speciality rolls (which is all we were planning on) and we were thrilled to get another speciality roll free. Excellent specialty rolls & sashimi, and always super friendly staff (even just when picking up said takeout).

Sushi is not bad. It’s actually quite decent but really not my jam. Lots of rice. Fish on sushi(nigiri) is small, fries are very common on menu(lots of items come with something fried.) Very filling. So if it’s your preference, go for it.

I love taking out at this place and take advantage of their buy 2 get one free sushi rolls it’s alot cheaper if ordering big. Family always enjoys them! My only complaint is the portions, wish they could be bigger to feed all my family instead of ordering in multiples, but its delicious!
