the food is AMAZING! I am a vegetarian and there was a whole section in the menu for vegetarian options. We got all of them to try, they were all amazing. Most of the rolls were either avocado, cucumber, or both. The presentation was incredible. This was my first time having sushi so I was in awe. The service was amazing, maybe because we went on a Monday at 7pm so there was nobody there, but either way the food came out swiftly, there was no rush to leave, or impatiently waiting for the check. Along with the vegetarian sushi, we got the spring rolls, which were good, basic rolls so nothing bad. We also got their strawberry mochi which was amazing. It was topped with chocolate syrup which was a nice touch. In short, I will be here again Friday for dinner and I will be as happy as I was the first time I went three days ago.

I ate here years ago and was not as impressed back then. It seems like they have new management and the quality of their food and service have definitely improved! We really enjoyed the spicy vegetable roll as we don’t see much different vegetarian options often and this was the first time we saw a spicy veggie roll on a menu. The spicy veggie roll was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of jalapeño and the batter was very light and just perfect. My Maui roll was also really fresh and was definitely very filling. The shrimp tempura was also perfect, the batter was not overwhelming and was very crispy and not greasy at all! I will definitely be coming back soon to try their other rolls!

Great quiet place, decorated very nicely. First issue I had was that my table which sat four had set plates ready for use, two out of the four we found were dirty and had bits of food smeared on them. I ordered California rolls and they were nice. I also ordered a fried rice with the shrimp option which added $3 to the plate making it $16.95, it had about 7 tiny shrimps on it. I was dissatisfied over that, everything else was just ok. The drinks we ordered were from a can, that was different. Waiter was excellent.

Sushi Zen is definitely one our our go to sushi places. The Cowboy, Shrimp and Dragon rolls are our favorite. Everything is extremely fresh and made to order. We haven’t had a item on the menu that hasn’t been good so far. Anytime we’re in the area, we always make it a priority to stop in. Highly recommended for sure!

So I will start by saying the sushi is really good here. I loved the temparua California roll. We went for “all you can eat” sushi. You get 2 rounds of sushi so you can order as much as you want on the rounds but no more than 2 rounds. The price has increased quite a bit. The only thing I didn’t really like was that our waitress ignored us and wouldn’t come to the table. We had to get our own water and walk up to her to order food. Which no one else has to do. Probably won’t go back to that one but they have others to go to.

My wife and I came to eat here during the slow hours, and were seated at the sushi bar in front of the chef. We were simply blown away with the experience. I ordered the Sashimi combo, pictured here, which allows the chef to choose cuts of fish. He took the time to explain the fish they carry and had us sample a few extra. It’s obvious he takes pride in the product they have. Everything was fresh and beautiful, and we were not expecting the detail with which our dinner was prepared and served. We will absolutely be back.

After revisiting the store I have realized I might have been a bit unfair with my last review. The sushi is great for how much you’re paying. The wait is not to long and they are always asking how you’re doing. Much better experience.
