Absolutely delicious. Hidden gem. Teriyaki chicken had authentic seasonings and taste, and we order 6 different types of sushi that were all great. Totally recommended!

First of all, don’t allow the lack of contemporary upgrades on the outside and dark, unorganized and antiquated indoor decor deter you from giving this restaurant a try. The sushi, well-proportioned shrimp teriyaki entree, and shrimp/vegetable tempura all tasted excellent and surpassed my expectations! Unlike many Japanese restaurants, the teriyaki sauce is salty but not this place. Overall, my son and I enjoyed the meal and will return. The sushi chef told us that in his 23 years of working there, he has never heard a complaint.

This is my favorite sushi place in town! Prices are reasonable, service is fast, however since their stuff is fresh, the rice on the sushi may come out warm. Best edamame I’ve ever had!

A very small quaint place to sit down or take out. The sushi shrimp roll was so so and the hibachi looked good ,but in one of the dishes there were pieces of hard rice.

I love this little place. It feels authentic. That is why I brought my 6 year old here. The staff was super friendly to us and they even rigged up the chopsticks so that my son could use chopsticks for the first time. That being said, I was a little disappointed with California roll that I ordered. It fell apart really easily. But the baby octopus and children’s shrimp meal was really good. My last complaint is that the guys bathroom was not very clean, like it smelled of urine, and it looked like there was a puddle of urine on the floor. Normally I just step around stuff like this, but with a small child, it is not as easy to avoid. However, that would not keep me from coming back here.

Very quaint little place. Went for lunch and was very happy. I would have liked to see the sushi chef have on gloves while making the rolls. Only real complaint was that some of the rice was still warm and i think that the avocado could have been a little firmer. Good amount of raw fish in the rolls.

For a small, quaint sushi house, ran by 2 people, it had the most amazing food. Service was wonderful as well. The gyoza appeared to be freshly made, was fried beautifully, and absolutely delicious. The tuna tataki was light, flavorful, and very fresh. The miso was packed full of flavor. Every bite of sushi was perfection. Definitely a must-go if you’re in the area. They are trying to do reservations only, so recommend calling ahead. We were lucky enough to be able to walk in and get a seat, but they filled up quickly.

Amazing food. My initial impression was that the restaurant looks a bit run down and tacky, and the waitress is somewhat pushy and inconsiderate. The waitress tried to put all of her guests in one small cramped corner of the building to make it easier on herself. Separate parties like to have space from each other especially if the restaurant isn’t packed.

I love sushi more than anything else, so when I find a place with great sushi I’m overjoyed. The interior is classic and casual. Their fish is super fresh/clean tasting and their prices are great. I only wish they had some more elaborate rolls. I love a mix of spicy tuna, eel, tempura shrimp, and crab, but most of the rolls seemed to have just one or two of these. Regardless the quality of food is great. I’ll be coming here more often.

Good food, but you might want to call ahead because their hours don’t match what their Google profile says (1030pm close?) or what the door says. They closed before 8:45 on this, a Saturday night, in downtown Columbia,….so, very disappointed on this recent visit. On two prior visits, the restaurant was rather dark, and awkward. Doesn’t have a clean appeal to it (paint job, artwork, floors), but the food seems good and healthful. The prices seem about average for the area and the restaurant appears to serve well to the USC college crowd. The dining area was small, but not too crowded and there was no wait for a table or service. The waitress on our two visits was decent, but not overly engaging or friendly. The restaurant appears to have authentic cuisine of the culture, but really needs a cleaner-looking decor. I look forward to seeing this place improve it’s interior and keep consistent hours.
