This was the best sushi I had in the US ever! The quality of the fish is amazing, I was just so pleased with all the different nigiri. Gyoza appetizers are also delicious. Everything is made at the moment, freshly served to you and you can really taste it! The place is small, around 5 tables and several spots at the bar. The atmosphere is very nice and service is great. Highly recommended!

At the the location of my old sushi spot for years Hiro Sushi, Sushi Toro exceeded expectations! Ordered some great looking, beautiful original rolls, that were very nice portions. The Crab Rangoon wonton was delicious as well. Friendly staff. Went with our 5 month old they they gave her her first chopsticks and spoon! Very nice of them! Will definitely return and looking forward to future visits. Great atmosphere, and decor!

Really good quality for the price, and impressive attention to presentation. I don’t know what brilliant mind came up with the sashimi deluxe appetizer, but it is something you would expect from a Michelin star expensive restaurant in New York. Beautiful yuzu base, half of perfectly ripe avocado, topped with fresh sashimi, fish eggs, and plated in a gorgeous bowl with artistically placed spicy mayo and other sauce. I come here just for this amazing dish and it is so affordable!

Wow. I am ridiculously picky about sushi. To the point where I have have settled with only buying from upscale spots because it’s so hard to find good quality of fish these days. I was incredibly impressed with the quality of fish at Sushi Toro. From the moment I opened the bag I could tell I was in for a delightful surprise. This is hands down the freshest fish in the area at its price point. Beautiful roles, well balanced flavors, and no lingering fish taste what so ever. Kudos Sushi Toro, great job!

First time visiting and this place is AMAZING. It’s very small but the staff was very amicable and our server was really attentive. Just by trying the miso soup I knew this place was special. I got their lunch special which is available during weekends!! California roll + 4 differet type of sushi. I was delighted and decided to order one of their sushi roll specials. I tried the firework sushi roll and it was very fruity but incredibly delicious!! My boyfriend got 2 of their specials and i also got to try them. It was really good quality food and their presentation is immaculate!! I loved this place so much! I’m definitely going back to try more things and highly recommend it!!!

I have ordered food from this sushi restaurant many times, and I have always enjoyed everything. Their menu offers a wide variety of sushi and rolls, each one skillfully prepared with fresh ingredients.

After living in Northern Japan for 4 years, we became pretty picky about sushi. This is the best sushi we’ve had outside of Japan and honestly better than most of the stuff you’ll find in the Tokyo area (unless paying a steep price). The fish is about as perfect as it comes and we were super happy even with the rolls.

Just visited Japan for 2.5 weeks in June 2023. No idea why this has such high marks – would never recommend coming here. They put hot food in the carryout bag with sushi – all sushi was warm to room temp when eaten. Much of the fish was slimy. One item was completely rotten and could not be eaten (tasted like sewer). Gyoza tasted like a Chinese buffet dumpling – heavy, solid filling and strong oil flavor – not Japanese style gyoza. The sushi rice was not properly prepared and pieces could not be picked up without sticking to each other and falling apart. Meal was not edible. We had to throw half of it away after attempting to get through it. With 5 people working on a sushi line they should know their product and do a taste or smell test before serving. I do hope we are not vomiting later as one of my children could smell the off fish before we even ate.

We are frequent visitors to the Greek restaurant next door so I was excited to see that a new sushi place has opened in the neighborhood. I’m so excited to say that everything we’ve had is delicious!!! We’ve ordered takeout from here three times since they opened a little over a month ago. It’s quickly became our new go to take out sushi spot. Everything is fresh and delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
