Super delicious and an all around wonderful experience. Every piece was incredible and some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The yuzu sake was super tasty, as well. Omakase at the bar was a really nice way to enjoy dinner and not have to think about it.

Incredible omakase experience. Fish is beyond fresh, staff is attentive and really sweet, and priced very reasonably. Will definitely be back!!!

I had the Omakase and since it wasn’t a very busy night, I had the pleasure of being served directly and exclusively by the head chef. His selection of fish was incredible. Very affordable compared to other top level Omakases like itself. 10/10 would recommend and come back when the season changes.

Sushi Tama is undoubtedly the pinnacle of sushi dining in LA, and it ranks among the best I’ve ever experienced. The freshness and quality of the fish are simply unparalleled, taking each bite to an extraordinary level of flavor and delight.

Greta service, personable chefs. I recommend doing the chef’s table when doing the omakase experience. The amount of pieces you get is amazing. The use real wasabi. Not the green colored horseradish you get at most sushi spots. The sake is pretty strong, so make sure you are good to drive afterwards lol.

Sushi Tama has a welcoming atmosphere, good Chirasi bowl, and kind customer service. Although we’ve had better Chirasi bowls elsewhere, we still had a solid 4-star experience.

The sushi was transcendent. We had the omakase at the counter and it was incredible. Still dream about the sea perch, the ankimo and the big eye snapper. The staff were really lovely especially our chef.

Wow! Hidden gem or new gem! Really my ONLY knock was that jazz music didn’t seem fitting. I’m not sure I’ve ever been cognizant of the music at a Japanese restaurant… But Jazz didn’t do it for me. The food, the service, the Saku were all outstanding. Will def be back and maybe bring my own tunes.

After hours of research, I booked Sushi Tama for this year’s Valentines’ dinner. Let me preface by saying that this is the one of the best traditional omakase meal we had. I want to focus on traditional because chef Yoshimoto is all about the best ingredients, and he claims +90% of ingredients are from Japan. Most of all, wow, these are tasty sushi! And rice was prepped perfectly: not too sticky, good firmness, and just a tiny hint of vinegar. Omakase consists of a wide variety fish and cooking styles.

Tama Sushi is one of the best sushi restaurants in Los Angeles, and it’s not hard to see why. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The decor is modern and elegant, with a minimalist design that puts the focus on the food.
