Wow, what an amazing meal. This place is easily one Michelin star. The head chef was an absolute gem, super nice and very down to earth. The SUSHI RICE WAS AMAZING. All high end sushi restaurants serve the same fish, it’s the rice that separates the masters from the fakes. The rice here is 10 out of 10. Our service at the end of the night was amazingly warm and comforting (at the end of the night)

First of all, get the Black Cod, it was amazing! Then get anything else you want on the menu, it will be fantastic!! My daughter and I do a lot of daddy/daughter sushi nights and this night at Sushi Note is the best meal we’ve ever had. We went back for additional plates for a few items. We didn’t get wine, but it looks like they have an excellent selection. We loved everything we were served. The prices we’re good for the high quality of sushi. I can’t recommend this place enough. We’re coming back when we visit LA again.

Got to try the full Note Omakase with a friend here and they were really great/helpful about her food allergy. Food was delicious! I wish they would’ve recommended drinks at the start since they seem to have a dedicated wine program but non-alcoholic drinks were cool too.

Very Disappointing! No idea how this place has the rating it does. Came here on a whim with high hopes after reading several stellar reviews in Eater LA, Time Out, etc. Did the Omakase for $140, and a sake pairing for $70.

Excellent omakase at an affordable price, which is 140 a person. You can get the more affordable 70/p, but I definitely recommend splurging on the higher tier. The service is top-notch and it’s hard not to feel special when each piece is placed right in front of you. Plus they start you off with a lovely sample of wine, ours a delicious sparkling rose. While the miso soup, edamame, and salmon included in the course is delectable, it does feel a bit out of place in an omakase meal. Plus there was a bit too much wasabi for some of the items, overwhelming the flavor of the fish. However, with an excellent wine list and sommeliers to help pair them to your sushi, it’s easy to have an enchanting evening in a wonderful environment without spending over 200 a head. Recommended for a date night.

I ordered the whole note omakase, and was very disappointed. The quality and freshness of the fish varied greatly between courses, and the uni tasted rotten. Also, the gelato dessert was freezer burned. This experience was much lower quality than I expected. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Incredible sushi experience. We ordered the Half Note and followed it with torotaku handroll and yuzu gelato. Exceptional food and great service. The sommelier was very friendly and helpful.

Half Note-Omekase. This place was amazing! The flavors and presentation were phenomenal. The ambiance was perfect for date night. It’s something you have to experience. Sushi is made from seasonal Tokyo fish. Most are seasoned and the chef will tell you how to eat it. He will even explain the tasting notes you should expect.

Oh my, Sushi Note is excellent. This very unassuming sushi restaurant in Sherman Oaks stand out amongst the many sushi restaurants in Sushi Row. The restaurant is small but what it lack in size makes up for it in the quality of sushi they expertly serve.
