Regretful review, this is for those that remember Sushi-Niwa from a year ago and beyond. The previous owners have left, since then the quality has gone down across the board, fish portions have diminished, rice has been undercooked, service has declined. Could be growing pains or I’m just going have to accept that it will never be the Sushi-Niwa I used to love.

Inside Pal-Do World Market, this small sushi restaurant is located in the grocery store’s food court with several other options. To date, I’ve never received a meal with something wrong. They’re very consistent, and almost everything comes with a salad and soup. Rice is always on point, prices are exactly right, they even do large party platters if you call ahead. If I’m grabbing sushi after work to take home, it’s here!

Delicious food and at a great price! Since it’s located inside the market the wait can be 25+ minutes at lunch time so I like to call ahead. I got an 8 piece fire engine roll with a small salad and miso soup for $10.99. Came back the next day for another roll for lunch!

I used to go here a lot when I lived here 5 years ago, but just moved back and wanted to see if it was still okay after spending 5 years slaying sushi in Japan. It’s definitely American-style sushi, but it’s affordable and I’d rather go here x10000000 more than Trappers. Staff is always friendly and service is quick if you’re not going during the lunch rush – and even then it’s reasonable considering they’re rolling them fresh and to order. *i ate my food before I remembered to take a pic haha*

Really good sushi everytime. Usually really great customer service. Today was a little off in that dept but the sushi was still good. Also the prices in the online menu are quite a bit cheaper than what they charge when you get there, So keep that in mind.
