I recently dined at Sushi Express, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Despite being a bustling neighborhood sushi restaurant, the service was impressively fast and efficient. From the moment I walked in, the staff greeted me warmly and promptly seated me. The menu offered an extensive selection of sushi and other Japanese delicacies, and I was amazed at the quality of the food.

Good food and friendly service. The pork gyoza appetizer was average.. the ginger salad was a larger serving than most sushi places.. the sushi rolls were tasty.

My obssesed K-pop culture lover friend recommended this place, and she was so right about everything… Thank you, Suzy. I loved it!!! It was busy but it was fast and great service ( 5 stars) and delicious!!!! I will definitely recommend the spicy pork bulgogi…also the pork pocket was soft, sweet, and savory at the same time… I tried soju, actually help cleaning my palate after each sip… I ordered without knowing that it was a medium bottle, I really liked it!!! order it if there’s more than 1 person… you have to try it to complete the whole experience…. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it

I ordered shrimp Shumai, volcano rolls, beef bulgogi, rainbow dragon rolls. Shrimp Shuman was fried and was pretty good, beef bulgogi… I would say it’s little overpriced… it tasted good as how korean bulbogi should but other than that, nothing impressive.. the portion was definitely not worth $17… quality was decent but not to say it goes over 13-15 at the most I wouldn’t pay for it next time. Side menus were pretty good. Zucchini and mungbean was little blend but I like that better than being too salty. Cucumber kimchi and cabbage kimchis were pretty decent, good job on that. Volcano rolls would be the MVP for the menus, it was actually spicier than other Volcano rolls I had from other places and it tasted fresh and strong! Very nice on Volcano rolls! They normally do Japanese food & Korean food. I don’t have problem at all but I hope you guys aware that some Koreans might not like that idea. Other than that, it’s a decent restaurant!

Excellent service! The owner went above and beyond to make a personal connection with our family and young kids. He even brought out some special kid friendly sushi for the kiddos to try. The food was delicious! Highly recommend!

Important note, this is a Korean and Japanese restaurant, not just a Sushi restaurant. The name can be misleading or make some think they only serve sushi.

Only one waitress for 6 tables, so at first I thought she was just busy and that’s why service was slow/haphazard (it took about 10 minutes for water to come to the table and she never asked what we wanted to drink) — however, even when we were the only table, the waitress didn’t seem to pay a lot of attention to us and she never refilled our water once (we were there around an hour). She was very nice however.

Ordered dinner tonight from Sushi Express and boy they did not disappoint! We ordered a California roll, Scorpion roll, Rainbow roll & Rowdy roll and they were all absolutely delicious. Also ordered 2 egg rolls that were super tasty! All of the food was fresh, the rolls were neatly put together, and the food was packaged perfectly. Very much enjoyed tonights meal and will certainly be back to try more rolls!

We are a huge fan of Korean and looking forward to this place. Sadly we were disappointed with the food. Everything was very salty, rice was hard, and the banchan was not fresh and left a lot to be wanted. The portions were generous, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was very modern. A lot of people seemed to be enjoying themselves but as for us we will be visiting other Korean spots in the area.

Jan. 2023: Yesterday, we decided to stay close to home and had dinner at Sushi Express. My husband and I used visit pre-pandemic more frequently. Since then, we have ordered and usually bring the food home.
