The sushi at this bar is always made with fresh ingredients. The variety of sushi rolls is impressive. They have something for everyone. You can taste the difference in every bite. The sushi here is so good that I have recommended it to all my friends and family.

WOW. We had such an incredible dining experience with sushi by scratch. The freshest pieces of fish and beautifully developed flavors. We got a bottle of sake instead of the pairing options which we enjoyed very much. Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. At the end we got to sample a roll they’re developing for a $10. Overall a very expensive but memorable evening.

Born and raised a self proclaimed food nerd and sushi obsessive I’m over the moon for Sushi Bar LA. Everything from the doorbell, the surprise seating, the personal care to cater to your preferences and the incredible inventive food make this a Michelin worthy restaurant. The sushi was so incredibly good that I felt tears welling up in my eyes eating it! As we were eating we booked dinner reservations for NYE! The team is amazing. This is definitely my favorite restaurant in LA now. Maybe my favorite restaurant of all time. Bravo!

This is one of the special places to visit if you are in for a fine Sushi treat. Getting to your final seating spot already is a great adventure. Try coming to your reservation a little earlier and enjoy a tasty cocktail at the bar before enjoying the food. All the different and modern interpreted sushi styles are from the highest quality you can imagine and the chefs give you a story on the composition – exciting! Extensive wine and sake menu which makes this a delight! Excellent service that ensures that you will have unforgettable „speakeasy“ adventure! Highly recommended.

Food was great but price was insane. $800 dollars for food and alcohol tasting. I’m still starving… like famished. What a waste. Don’t come here, unless you want to go to in and out after.

I have been fortunate enough to have visited the Sushi Bar multiple times now. If you really love Sushi and want to experience a really unique Omakase style sushi dinner you need to book Sushi Bar! Owned/Operated by top chef winner Phillip Franklin Lee (he has cooked for one of my dinners) it’s truly a memorable experience. House made ponzu, soy sauce, and other garnishes, real wasabi root ground on shark skin, 17 courses of the most ridiculous bites you can almost imagine. 8 sometimes 10 seats only so if you have a group of Friends you can literally book the entire Sushi bar for your party and really have a night to remember. Make sure to arrive 30 min prior to your reservation to enjoy the complimentary cocktail in the bar prior to your entrance.

An amazing dine-in experience! They were great at adhering to the Covid-19 regulations and it’s a bummer to see them close for now for the exact same reason. But despite the sad news, our chefs Sean and Tony took us on an adventure with our sushi omakase. My personal favorites were the eel with bone marrow and the fatty tuna thanks for making my birthday experience one that I will not be forgetting any time soon and I can’t wait to go back after they open back up!

16 nigiri set with 1 dessert and an introductory cocktail when you check in at their bar. You’re led into a connected speakeasy setup that’s dimly lit with throwback vibes, some old school bar shop tunes playing. Dinner is roughly 1.5H and it’s $125 before fees, which is a pretty great deal for an omakase dinner unless you go to South Bay. A la carte supplements are available at the end where you can order more of the same offerings or hand rolls. There were two cocktails and two types of saké pairings available.

Really nice atmosphere and amazing service. Yes, pricey, yes, you already know that from the reservation and multiple $$$ rating on Google. And it’s going up as of Mar 1, ’23. The food is fresh and delicious and consumed over the course close to 2 hours it makes a very pleasant and memorable experience.
